About Pete Philly
Pete Philly (Pieter Monzón) is a Dutch mc with his roots in Aruba. Together with his friend (and producer) Perquisite (Pieter Perquin) he dropped the Mind.State album in 2005 featuring Talib Kweli amongst others. Kweli stated that "they are lightyears ahead of the game".
They were the 1st hip-hop crew to perform on the South-Africa jazz festival. They use a mixture of various styles, 2 word come to me constantly, which are: "Laid back" & "Conscious"...
