Basement Life

Basement Life appeared on the scene in 2014, when guitarist Eric Mann returned to his musical stomping grounds of Greensboro, NC and picked up the guitar again. He was seeking a new musical outlet after a lengthy hiatus from playing. Joined by vocalist and bass player Gavan Holden and drummer Caleb Gross they are a band born out of necessity with the focus on sing along moments fused with memorable riffs and rhythmic energy. After taking time leading up to their early 2017 debut, "Love is Not Real," Basement Life has tapped into their impressive lineage of punk-influenced bands to create "Devour," an album that reveals a refreshing but familiar sound. Basement Life continues down a path of engaging indie rock, emphasizing melodic post punk guitar lines woven with vocals reminiscent of the catchy punk rock bands who slung the hits in the 90's. "Devour" is influenced by an amalgamation of different backgrounds, adding a degree of introspection to the authenticity of the golden age of indie.
