Blankfile

In the year 2008, after a heavy line-up reconstruction, the band takes its first steps outside the borders playing shows in Bulgaria, Slovenia and Hungary. Fueled by creative adrenaline the band continued on improving their sound and in late 2008 they recorded a DIY EP called “Fast Foreword” to serve as an introduction to their new direction that they were heading. In the interest of further promoting the underground scene, the members of the band started up a concert promotion group called Means to Amend Promotion via which they organize gigs for local and foreign underground bands. The sound of their second album entitled “Turning the Season”, which was released in 2010, is different from the previous. The basic element is still there. It is still punk rock. But everything has been improved. The music is darker and more complex and the lyrics are more mature. They promoted the album with a European tour and shows in neighboring countries. In the beginning of 2012, they recorded a new song and an accompanying music video titled ROADKILL, giving a new glance to their music implementing much more scream vocals, complex parties and breakdowns. It was an introduction to the new Blankfile that guys was about to present with new record. After new line-up changes and the band's improvements, new Blankfile songs were finally presented to the audience in beginning of 2013 through a self-titled EP. New material showed that guys approached to the song writing process very maturely with no fear to change and to extend the borders of the band's music concept, again. In the following period, Blankfile will continue with making new songs as to play concerts that would help in introducing their new music to the people in Serbia and abroad.
