Romano

Born and brought up in Colombo, Sri Lanka; DJ Romano is one of the country's finest talents and has stamped his presence in the island. Romano’s big break in 2008 was when he started playing at one of the finest nightclubs of the time in Colombo; ZANZIBAR, grabbing his opportunity and working his way up to becoming one to be recognized with the rest. He then moved onto playing as the resident DJ at SHINE Dance Lounge alongside JAY DEEP who is now marching his way up through Europe. Romano then went onto resident Club H2O Colombo, R&B and Prive Colombo. He has also headlined some of the Island’s most talked about beach parties and has played alongside the likes of “Minimize, Paul Hamilton,SmokinGroove”. Making his way to reaching higher goals when he visited the United Arab of Emirates – Dubai, for the first time in the year 2011 seeking to find new opportunities in life when finally he came across Club WAREHOUSE, Le Meridien, Dubai. He was given the opportunity to showcase his talents on New Year’s Eve 2012. His talent and easy-going friendly personality easily caught the attention of the Club Management and he was rewarded the position of resident DJ at WAREHOUSE where even today he carries the show with great passion and love for music - A true Entertainer ! After being picked from over 200 participants from all over the Middle East and qualifying to the finals for the Pioneer DJ-ME competition for 3 consecutive years – Romano bagged the 3rd prize in the long mix category for the Pioneer DJ-ME Finals 2014.
