Erin Honeywell

Ms. Honeywell is an award-winning vocalist and budding songwriter who has entertained crowds all over the western United States and parts of East Africa, as well as Brazil with her rich and soulful sound. Cutting her teeth on Stevie Wonder lullabies and belting out Aretha Franklin from her carseat, Erin knew what moved her from an early age. Her Mama and Papa raised her right in a humble Bay Area household overflowing with music and joy, as she joined a long line of family singers with a voice that was undeniable. Since then, music has been the pulse that’s guided her. With heavy influences including Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Erykah Badu, Philip Bailey, India Arie, and Stevie Wonder, Ms. Honeywell has a sound well beyond her years, easily flowing from subtle jazz melodies that take you away to hard-hitting funk and soul-grabbing R&B. A graduate of Marin School of the Arts, Erin made her musical mark at a young age by winning multiple Awards of Excellence at various Jazz Festivals and helping to pioneer the Rock Program at Marin School of the Arts. Erin also participated in teen a cappella group ‘Til Dawn where, under the mentorship of Singer/Activist Austin Willacy, she felt first-hand how incredibly music could connect people. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Puget Sound where she studied Music along side Sociology, with an emphasis on social justice and community empowerment. “My goal is to use my voice as a force for good. Erin has shared the stage with Oakland soul legend Freddie Hughes, R&B sirens Lilan Kane and Leah Tysse, and Master Saxophonist Robert Stewart, to name a few. Along with performing her original music and some tasty covers around the Bay Area, you can also catch Ms. Honeywell singing as a featured vocalist with Stax-inspired soul band OTIS, Oakland blues group The Bobby Young Project, and Rock legacy guitarist Miles Schon.
