JED HARPER

Jed Harper is one of the hardest working DJ’s in Canada. He’s experienced the evolution of Toronto’s nightlife scene firsthand over the past 15 years, and honed his chops on the decks of the city’s biggest and hottest venues. His versatile, party-starting sets are filled with the best in big room house, hip-hop, and “hands-in-the-air” style club anthems.
Harper currently holds down ongoing residencies in Toronto at Uniun Nightclub, Everleigh and Cabana Pool Bar, and in Niagara Falls at Dragonfly (inside the Fallsview Casino). Alongside the delirious pace of over 30 sets a month at club gigs, Jed is also the official DJ of the Toronto Blue Jays, and programs the music at all home games for the MLB team. His vast knowledge of music led him to the Jays, who brought him in to bridge the gap between old-school baseball followers and the new generation of younger, hipper fans.
At age 15, Jed’s passion for music ignited through record collecting, but his true initiation into the DJ world started at Ryerson University’s CKLN radio station. Quickly after his debut on the radio, Harper landed his first residency at former Toronto Raptor Vince Carter’s Inside Nightclub. Within two years he was playing six nights a week at all of Toronto’s leading club venues: The Guvernment, CiRCA, This is London, Century Room, Cheval, Cobra...and the list goes on. You name the club; he was likely the resident at its height of popularity.
Harper’s reputation has also spread beyond Toronto and into the larger music world’s elite. He’s DJ’d for Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco, shared the stage with Diplo/Major Lazer, Lil' Jon, David Guetta, and Black Eyed Peas and performed at parties for Diddy, Paris Hilton, and Justin Timberlake. He’s also rocked the decks at major festivals like Toronto’s Digital Dreams and Mexico’s BPM Festival.
The core of Jed’s style is moving smoothly through genres, and building bridges between hip-hop & electronic music. He’ll drop anything from a collector-friendly old-school hip-hop set, to a high-energy first-in-the-air dance anthems mix, without being afraid to throw in some unexpected gems.
