Bucking genre and gender stereotypes, feminist freestyle hip hop artist Britt Koff raps with reason. With a goal of empowering people, especially women, through her message of love, acceptance and self-expression, the self-described red-headed, Jewish lesbian is breaking social norms and barriers through her music and performance.

Originally from Philadelphia, Britt Koff has been rocking out in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts since her debut in 2013. She’s built a buzz in Amherst with her recurring Master of Ceremonies role in the “house show” scene spitting freestyles over local bands and taking topics from the crowd. Sharing the stage with acts such as Wiki, (Ratking), Billy Dean Thomas, and Joey Batts, she’s performed all the way from the US to Asia, stealing the stage at Quest Festival 2017 in Hanoi, Vietnam and cyphering at Hartford Warped Tour 2014.

With influences such as Nitty Scott, Angel Haze, and K.flay, she grabs your attention and lifts your spirit with high energy making even the most mellow of listeners groove to the beat. Deemed the “freestyle goddess,” by Buzz Magazine December 2014, Britt Koff has a heart of gold, but makes sure you know she’s tougher than the boys club.
