Turnpike Troubadours

They were on fire!!! Was super sad the went wart out of they sails after 2 lines of Long Hot Summer Day when the lights went up. By the time everything was fixed they just finished the song. THAT was on the VENUE!! At least half the crowd stayed - we were ready for a long encore That’s ok we will definitely see them again. This was the second time already this year!

Excellent!!! not a bad seat in the house, good crowd. paid for the cheap seats was asked during Elle King portion of show if our group had any interest in moving down to the pit! We did, of course and the show was even better. thanks for coming back to Florida. I had seen them in Tallahassee last fall.....the Troubadours don't disappoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turnpike was great as always, the venue sounded good for the size , only problem I had was the second act. I’m sure Ian Munsick is enjoyed by others, but personally thought him more on the mainstream side , reminded me of an act I’d see in Branson, professionally sound , just not something I enjoyed at all.

They played their asses off. Went through all their best songs including three off the new album. Hour and a half set. The sound quality at Donald Tucker was really good. Blackberry Smoke stayed on for over an hour and they had a good following of fans throughout their set. Jason Boland opened the show with a 45 minute set and he got the place started up hot. Overall it was a great experience.

Muscadine Bloodline did a good job of opening the show, Old Crow was entertaining, but Turnpike was outstanding. Their shows are an experience, the crowd is on their feet through the entire show and most are singing along on every song. They are really tight and crisp on every song for the entire show. If you haven’t seen them, you should!

It was great to finally be able to see Turnpike but being able to see Robert Earl Keen on his last run was bittersweet, the actual festival wasn’t my favorite but getting to see these two made it all worth it.

Great to see them touring again! In the AA center, had a hard time making out words with the opening artists that I was not as familiar with. I could hear it great when getting concessions (beer). Something was off with the sound mix.

I loved the bands, the venue not too much. Acoustics very bad, because entire venue standing room only, all general admission, you couldn’t see the stage. It was hard to even see the screens set up on both sides of stage. Maybe if there was a slight graduation in flooring when located in back you can see over sea of people. Hogsloop String band and Turnpike Troubadours were amazing of what I could see and hear

These guys are awesome. Excellent musicians, all do their job very well. Great versatility by the steel guitar players, as we also saw him play- banjo, accordian, dobro- all very well. And hat's off to Evan and the band, for overcoming their issues- and getting back on the road. They played all the big hits, and the fans (us included) were very happy! A job well done!! Hip, Hip!!

The concert was great! We loved seeing the Turnpike Troubadours as well as 49 Winchester! The venue however lacked comfortable bathrooms. They has portable restrooms that were placed on the complete opposite side from where the band was playing, which is ok but there was only one route to them (through extremely heavy crowds) and were not lit and completely pitch black inside making it extremely hard to use. The bands, food and drink service were amazing though!

Turnpike put on as good of a show as ever. Man I missed them while they were taking time off. Azura theater however needs to get their poop in a group. I’m hey we’re in no way ready for the amount of people that turnpike got to show up.

The show was great overall! Muscadine Bloodline and Morgan Wade were outstanding. I really enjoyed watching them. Gov’t Mule was not good. Their style of music really didn’t fit this lineup. I’m not a big fan of Grateful Dead sounding bands with 8 minute guitar solos. They played far too long, and would’ve liked to see the other bands get more time. Turnpike was outstanding. Their set was great, and I’m glad to see them in concert again! My only minor gripe is that I would’ve loved to have seen them play The Mercury and Easton and Main in the encore. However, given the fact that they have tons of amazing songs to put in a set list, I get it.

The only complaint was no encores, and I am positive everyone there thought Turnpike was going to do The Road Goes on Forever with Robert. Because it’s a farewell tour for him. If the venue had a time cap, pick a different venue. The headliner shows on Saturday were GREAT, but that ending was the equivalent of the season finale of the Sopranos for music fans.

I love this band and was psyched they were coming to ID, but that is the only band I wanted to see at Gordy's I was able to buy just Saturday ticket I had to get a 3 dayer... Not cool, but I'm sure they were awesome! Til next time!

The show itself was amazing, Turnpike Troubadours never disappoint! However the seating was very confusing. General admission and assigned seating was sold for the show. But there was not signage or any direction for either. We ended up sitting in the wrong area and one of the attendants that was working the show helped us clarify and she explained that is was very confusing, was not marked well, and others were confused as well. When we moved to the correct area there was no where to sit or stand. We had to squeeze in a very small area. I've been to red rocks a decent amount of times and this is the first disappointing time. I do look forward to seeing more shows there, I just hope there is a better way to inform people of the different seating areas.

The venue was over sold! The band was as tight as they could be. Evan was flawless. This was a great show. I just wish they had better supporting bands. They have developed a "fringe" following. They should use it to expose people to more of the music us people that listen to modern outlaw/americana/red dirt/...I don't know what to label it..I just know that I ask anyone how they found this genre of music in Kansas City and all roads lead back to REK. Great show!

Have you ever day dreamed, imagined, conjured the thoughts of what a night at the hottest honky-tonk with the hottest girl watching the hottest band in the land would be like? If you have, then throw in that the band was playing "at home!" Cain's Ballroom is the best honky-tonk dance hall/ballroom/buy beer by the 6 pack, whatever you want to call it...HISTORIC! Turnpike Troubadours were in their game. Might have had a few too many drinks since it was their first night at home, but I don't give a pooh. Evan is what I picture Hank Williams being...drunk, genius, reluctantly gifted...except, Evan is surrounded by one of the baddest bands in the land! Hottest show I've seen at Cain's since CCR (oklahoma CCR) played there near the end of their time together. Great freaking night!

Turnpike was amazing as always!!! The Criterion needs to work on making the sound more even throughout the venue... when your venue is sold out (4,000 correct?) not everyone can push out to the main floor and it sounds terrible under the 2nd floor.... luckily I was able to squeeze myself closer to the stage but all my friends weren't as lucky

Turnpike Troubadours was amazing live! I loved hearing all my favorite songs from a small, rustic stage with the Lake as our background! Getting the guitar pick was even sweeter! Thanks guys, I had a blast, please come back and play in Missouri again soon!

Great show! The opening act, The Black Lillies were a fantastic find as well. What a great night of Honkytonk music. Even if Nashville has turned its back on real Country music, it's good to know its can still be found!!
