A Diary Entry

A DIARY ENTRY is a six-strong Post Hardcore squad from Germany established in the late 2009. Only months after their inception and after countless shows with bands such as HIS STATUE FALLS (Redfield Records), DEADLOCK (Lifeforce Records), ESKIMO CALLBOY (Redfield Records/ Earache Records) and many more, they immediately gained local success. The group managed to develop their individual music style fairly quickly. Their music is all about celebrating life, love and youth in its various shades and facets. They define themselves through powerful, catchy and very often pop-like melodies combined with emotional screams and R&B inspired clean vocal hooks. During live shows they perform their songs with reckless abandon so that everyone in the audience can feel the energy and emotion they put into their music. During the year 2010 they recorded with Christian Diehl (His Statue Falls) at THINK AUDIO RECORDINGS studios. The resulting debut EP RAINBOW WASHOUT proved the level of maturity their music has finally reached. In 2012, after several throwbacks due to lineup changes they finally consolidated a regular cast having the same passion and sharing the same ambitious goals. The 2012 single 'Brave It Out' makes their future plans a subject of discussion and the immediately consecutive Cover-song 'Stronger' continues on that style. Both singles were recorded with Sebastian Monzel of REVENANT RECORDING STUDIOS. They set their sights high but claim to go beyond the possible to leave their mark and fulfill their dreams. Currently, they are writing and rearranging material for their highly anticipated (and long overdue) debut album which is going to be recorded early 2013.
