About Omikron

They say "Real recognize Real". That's good news to an artist like Omikron. In a review of his mixtape "Self-Therapy", www.phoenixstar9online.com said ""Omikron is a beast out the gate. I underestimated him completely." "this mixtape is enough to make true hip hop heads bob their heads." But delivering real-life lyrics over sizziling production is only the beginning. Live shows are where the artist/producer really shines. "The crowd's jumping with the beat as the wave of bodies crashing with the rhythm playing out over the heads of fans. " "While some of the raps he showcased were more serious, he also showed a fun, party-style kind of rap that got the crowd bouncing around. As Omikron shouted "Hip," the audience screamed "Hop." said Sophia Worgan of The Observer of CWU. Raised in New Jersey, hip-hop surrounded Omikron (real name Jeff Lopert) from an early age. His knack for finding trouble as a youth put him in position to focus his energy into discovering his talent for creating music. After crafting beats for others, Kron soon found that he himself could hang with the big dogs on the corner when it came to lyrics. When it came time to pick a name, the boy Jeff chose Omikron without hesitation. Why? "It was the best spraypaint for tagging... city workers couldn't take it off. So what it means is, I'm Omikron, once I make my mark they won't be able to remove it." After several relocations and career starts, Kron never stopped. Doing more and more live shows and dropping mixtapes, his high-workrate, intense liveshows have kept his name in whispers. Dropping two indie albums online ("Storm of the Dragon" and "Burn the Streets") and three mixtapes, also independently, Omikron learned a lot about the importance of planning and marketing. "I kinda had to step back" he said. "It's not like how it is advertised, you need to strategize a LOT and put yourself around the right people." Now prepping his 2014 project "Hoodie Music" (Coming 11/18), Kron is giving them what they always ask for... 100% real content.
