Suzie Vinnick Music

I always get out and enjoy Suzie when she is at Hy-Hope Farm. Bonus this year were the other two girls who made up the the Three Gals. Excellent show.

I have always enjoyed Suzie Vinnick and this performance was stellar. She is talented, personable and funny. She is a pure entertainer who connects to the audience.

Was a great concert! I was pleasantly suprised with the opening act, Ollie Owens - worth seeing her. Suzie can play the crap out of her acoustic guitar & she also did a couple songs with an electric bass- amazing! She also has a beautiful voice, with a range from some raspy lows to sweet high notes. Highly recommend seeing Suzie if she’s playing in your area!

Suzie Vinnick was fabulous! She played to a sellout crowd who were blown away and applauded loudly after every song. Suzie also was also visibly enjoying herself and mentioned she loved the venue and all the good vibes and compliments she received. Would love to see her return for another concert in the not too distant future. A five star event!

Susie Vinnick was FANTASTIC!! We've seen Susie several times and always enjoyed her. However, this was the best show we've seen because she was solo! I think I just don't get enough of Susie when she is sharing the stage with others. :) The Oak Bay Recreation was a workable venue, made better by the fact that the intro to the Show included admonitions to the audience to keep quiet during the music. We greatly appreciated this as we have come to hear Susie, not the people sitting around us. Thanks for a great evening! :)

Definitely go see these entertainers alone on together…true talented musicians each on their own but together makes for a phenomenal night of great entertainment…👍👍🎶👍👍

Vinnick rules blues with her guitar and on stage charm. Seamless chemistry with other musicians and she reads her audience. Such a pleasure to witness a gifted musician just get better and better.

Absolutely fantastic to see my old friend Suzie in a lovely intimate venue. Lloyd Spiegel is the most amazing guitar player i have seen in a very long time, and was a complete surprise; we became instant fans! One iminor ssue my sister and i had was the hard, school auditorium stacking wooden seats, but we do understand the reasons for them. another suggestion: the merch table was set up in the corner where the bar and bathroom traffic was heavy, perhaps the lobby would be better or the opposit corner? we had a wonderful time otherwise, and will definitely be back for more in this series and beyond. I discovered Suzie's music via CBC Radio's "Saturday Night Blues" years ago, when she was featured around the time of her "Me and Mabel" album. I remember being impressed both by her guitar playing and her voice. I'm glad to say that both are still terrific. We'd been waiting to be able to see a Suzie Vinnick show for years, having seen her some years back as part of The Marigolds at Butchart Gardens in Victoria (for which we travelled over from the Lower Mainland). Having just moved to Courtenay, the opportunity was too good to miss. This was a great show at a great little venue. The opener was Australian Lloyd Spiegel, of whom I'd never heard, but a mate in Melbourne (who's seen him several times) assures me that he is a bona fide big deal Down Under. He can certainly play guitar -- he has prodigious technique (albeit a bit too shreddy for my personal taste) -- and a good voice, and is a genuinely funny bloke. He went down very well with the audience, most of whom knew as much about him as I did. Suzie was just excellent, playing some well-known favourites and a good selection from her new album "Fall Back Home". Her guitar and bass guitar skills are top-notch, but her voice is the real reason to see Suzie. To me, she's right up there with the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi as a singer. Suzie and Lloyd came back for a short set of recently worked-out duets at the end, bringing a triumphal end to the evening for the 200 or so in the audience. Don't miss them, is all I can say.

This was a two-part show which also featured Lloyd Spiegel. I would have given it 5 stars , except for the sound mixing of Suzie's vocals. Suzie has a lovely voice but after the amplifier did its bit, I found that her high notes were harsh, which I found fatiguing. I can't understand why the sound guy didn't notice this and apply some EQ. I know nothing about sound mixing. Could it have been the mic? That said, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Awesome show. Great musicians. Super atmosphere and locale. Can't wait for the next show

Suzie Vinnick brought the blues to the house. Soaring vocals and some darn good guitar picking. Nice addition of Scott Ballentine and Andra Faye as the opening act.
