About Tashkezar
Tashkezar
One of the most exciting acts rising on the UK global music scene right now, Tashkezar blend psych guitars with funk-driven basslines, Balkan brass, anthemic synth and euphoric Arabic vocals into something they call Baladi Funk.
Originally from Egypt, Uzbekistan, the UK and US, Tashkezar meld a Cosmic Fusion of vintage Egyptian Pop with Funk and Anatolian Rock to create an electrifying and deeply danceable sound.
