Yellow Dog Conspiracy

Yellow Dog Conspiracy didn't actually start in 2008.
Marcelo Aguiar and André Vicente, friends since their early teens, quickly became aware of their chemistry in Music and started working together in the 90's. As the years passed by, lots of projects were developed.
In 2007, after a period of 'hibernation', Gonçalo Lopes joined André and Marcelo to form the trio that would perform at Rock In Chiado, a bar in Lisbon, Portugal, with an array of completely new songs.
The Yellow Dog had awaken and new songs were being developed. In 2012 the band expanded, welcoming guitar players and friends Miguel Ferreira and Ricardo Oliveira and becoming The Yellow Dog Conspiracy.
In 2013 the Conspiracy welcomed guitar player Luiz Arantes and drummer Zé Moreira, as their Debut EP is being prepared to be released.
The band released the EP in June 2013.
After four years of work and several lineup changes,
Yellow Dog Conspiracy released their debut studio album, Confrontation, in March 2017, produced and mixed by Brad Cox and the legendary producer Mike Clink (producer of Guns N'Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe).
Confrontation is a hard rock album with electrifying, technically elevated guitars that make us fly to the ceiling. It has eleven tracks, ranging from intense, political and rebellious themes like “Enough Is Enough” and “Revenge”, to softer and more inspiring songs like “We Need a Change” and “One to Blame”. On the tracklist are some very catchy songs like "Falling Into You", "Don't Lie to Me" and "Break it Down", some fiery and vibrant songs like "Cocaine to the Vein" and "Somebody Else" and some melodic songs and punks like “Skinny Little Man” and “Hello my Friend”.
It's a solid, modern and original album, showing Yellow Dog Conspiracy's personality.
In 2019 they released the single “Reaching for the Stars” and are currently composing new songs for their new album, launching a new single in 2024.

The current lineup consists of vocalist Vice, guitarist Luiz Arantes, bassist Heitor Tenório and drummer Filipe “Animal”.
