was at the Wilmington show last night. Great set - 90mnins! Acoustic opening was perfect. I followed you back in the day and saw you last April in Durham at the Hendrix Exp , you really impressed me and brought me back. Had to make the show last night and glad I did. Thanks

Another great performance by Eric Johnson, it's my third time seeing him and he just continues to impress. The Newton Theatre is a great place to take in a concert. Not a bad seat in the house, the venue is very clean, and the staff is very helpful. They're is plenty of parking around the venue.

Wow..................Eric Johnson was ON tonight. I've had the pleasure of seeing Eric many times. For whatever reason, he was SO SPOT ON for this show. He played aggressively and was almost perfect. Playing 2 sets with a brief intermission was a good call as well.
I do believe, however, the 3 piece band could benefit having a keyboard player/back-up guitarist.
If this happens to be the last time I see EJ..........it will be very satisfying!

Wonderful show ; the show was about 2hrs and 15 minutes long. Eric Johnson is one of the best guitarists to see and we have seen him twice at Homer Center For The Performing Arts where every seat sounds great !At the end of the show he did an 11+ minute rendition of Cliffs of Dover that was Outstanding !!! The 3 man band was just perfect as far as sound goes; we can't wait until next time he comes around - GREAT SHOW +++++

This show was truly spectacular. I am in constant awe of the tone, precision and craft that Eric and the band has performed. I also greatly appreciate the emotional caliber that shines through each of the songs. As one of my absolute favorite musicians, he never disappoints and always leaves me with much inspiration and gratitude. Such a great tour and I very much look forward to the next one.

EJ and his band were incredible, as they alway are. This was a new venue for me, cool vibe! The key thou, you need to get there early! If not, it's really hard to see the performance, especially if they are sitting down. I wish they allowed us to go in the upper level (it was closed off).

Being 70 and a guitar player since I was 13 I’ve seen a lions share of good players. But Eric Johnson’s playing just blew my mind. An absolutely incredible guitarist. The fact that a human brain can throw switches to make electrical impulses that twitch muscles making fingers fly and produce ethereal vibes from 6 string is mind blowing itself. Very modest and personable. He spoke of Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix as being the true pioneers who came up with this stuff out of thin air, while he (Eric) was fortunate and had it easy with a library full of books to learn from. 5 Stars. The Narrows is a great venue. +/-400 seats in an old 3rd floor warehouse converted to a creative arts center.

Eric Johnson’s concert was fantastic. Unfortunately my experience was not so great because security told me I couldn’t stand and clap at the end of each of his songs. When Eric asked the crowd if everyone was having a good time and I yelled out “they won’t let me stand and clap at end of your songs”! He seemed confused and said what??? After I said that, security came up and pulled me out of my seat. I missed two songs while they decided if I could come back in. I sat like stone through Cliffs of Dover, not my usual stance for that song.
I’m 72 years old and been following Eric for years. Can’t believe I was treated so shabbily by security at The Egg in Albany, NY. I hope your management speaks to The Egg venue regarding a huge fan’s treatment for simply trying to show my love and appreciation of Eric Johnson’s genius.

Great performance in the small, but intimate Lyric Theater. The building itself is old, but well maintained. It has all that you need to enjoy yourself, and staff is friendly. It is the perfect place to see real musicians and bands who know how to ply their trade in a very intimate setting. Eric Johnson and his band are masters in their trade. Eric Johnson needs no explanation- he is a superb guitarist, pianist, and writer. Roscoe Beck is the super power, turbo diesel that drives the band. He and Wayne Salzeman add an absolute thunderous rythm section that allows EJ to float over the top of their bottom end. Dave Scher is the unfortunate man that has to play guitar with Eric Johnson. He is a super talent and fits in beautifully not only with EJ, but the rest of the band. Dave can not only add the little nuances under the guitar, but can also step out and shine while Eric Johnson takes a break on piano. There is something for everyone in their set. They began with an acoustic set, with Eric and Roscoe. They slowly worked in the rest of the band and began to ramp things up. After a short intermission from the acoustic session, it was time to light the lamps. Rock, blues, jazz, to bluegrass and everything in between. Afterwards, there was no meet and greet but because of the Lyric's size, you were bound to run into band members on the sidewalk. Super nice and acommedating to the fans. Couldn't ask for a better show!

Absolutely amazing musical talent all over the stage. Eric played the hits through an acoustic set followed by an electric set. He played piano. The band was on fire. He played a couple of tribute pieces including Jeff Beck. After several decades I finally got to see one of my first heroes. This tour is WELL worth your time!

Absolutely five star sensational musician live….. except HOB SD made no attempt or perhaps intentionally made temperature inside the concert hall extremely cold! We sat first row balcony in premium seating, too. I had a hoodie sweatshirt and Beanie on, while friends with two layers of shirts on….. we were so cold that temperature had to be close to 40 degrees. No wonder so many vacant seats despite SOLD OUT!
On the other hand last night in a much larger venue, The GROVE in Anaheim ; temperature was perfect even wearing a short sleeve shirt ! Oh, it still was very chilly including more rain outside.
What a shame to make this audience so uncomfortable in San Diego of all places.
The concert? Hoping on stage that Eric and band were not affected …. Seemed they were bundled in additional clothing yet were they HOT. Come prepared to sizzle in one of the most incredible performances from all four musicians in the group including Roscoe Beck on bass.

Eric rocked the house in the last concert before the world went to hell. With his incredible band including virtuoso bassist Roscoe Beck, the evening was intimate, laid back and absolutely a joy to behold. Eric performed his classics, as well as new cuts off his latest releases and finished the show with an amazing 12 minute jam on “Zap.” An absolute guitar player’s fantasy, Eric is a national treasure!

Sold out crowd of middle aged people, mostly men. The backing players are extremely talented in their own right. Eric is sooo talented! What he can do with a guitar is a gift from God! The interaction with the crowd was nice. The show was 2 sets for a total playing time of about 2 1/2 hours. I highly recommend seeing Eric Johnson if you get the chance.

This was one of the best shows I’ve been to in years. E. J. and band were relaxed and seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the crowd. The music was fantastic and the outside venue was laid back. All of Johnson’s music is phenomenal wherever he plays but I hope he will return to the Backyard Bar again soon. P. S. Would have rated 5 stars if allowed. 5 solid star show!

Best I’ve ever heard him. He was on fire. I’ve seen Eric many times starting with the Electromagnets. He is always amazing but this was a very special night. Not sure if it was being back with old band mates Tommy Taylor and Kyle Brock or his playing all his big hits but it really worked. Thank you Eric for a great night.

Misses 5 stars because the sound reinforcement decided the sub-bass was more important than the midrange and lower midrange. The lower bass was so dominant, it prevented hearing lyrics and hearing distinctions between the excellent bass player’s moving lines. Eric and band played exquisitely. Too bad we couldn’t hear/distinguish all the notes.

Incredible show. The Cedar is family friendly. This was my daughter’s first concert. I was worried that she would not be able to see. Not a bad seat in the house. Mr. Johnson’s musicianship is second to none. The same could be said for his band. Following the concert my daughter and I were invited back for a brief hello. This made for a night that neither my daughter nor I will forget.

Eric Johnson’s performance was flawless. His supporting band members, Kyle (bass) and Tommy (drums) were absolutely phenomenal musicians. It was obvious that they have been together as brothers for years and still enjoy each other. The venue was comfortable and is a great space for such performances. The sound was “OK,” and that’s my single complaint. Such attention was paid to reinforcing the sub-bass in the mix—featuring the kick drum & lowest bass notes—that much of the upper bass range (where Kyle was playing) and the midrange (vocals & Ericks lead guitar work) was muddled. At times it as impossible to tell when the bass guitar was changing notes or to hear articulation of the guitar riffs. If the mix had been made for this program-rock trio rather than a dance DJ, it would have been perfect!

As always, it was a pleasure hearing and seeing the master play. Arielle did a great job accompanying Eric and the band on guitar while Eric played the piano. Eric was much more conversant at this show than any other show that I've attended. For me, it was a joy to be there.

Excellent Show, subtle lighting, which I prefer, very good sound. Eric's presentation of the Music was I thought very honest, and real. The music was powerful, and it was full of emotional feeling. lyrically it was very good as well, plenty of lyrical Imagery here. I just think the vocals will have no problem being overlooked, or overshadowed because of the high level, and strength of the music that was played. Eric's vocalizations fit these songs just like a glove. This is the second show I've seen, I was at the Paramount for the Austin show. I think shows like thishave the power to turn a regular evening into something very special..
