DJing the HiGrade sounds. Dance music with Reggae, Electronic, Rock, HipHop, and Pop influences. Combining old and new music, with live sound effect processing and tribal percussion. DJ HiGrade can keep the party moving and slam dance floors with heavy bass lines, melodic tunes, and inspired vocals. From Trap, Dubstep, Drum n Bass, and House, to Reggae, Rock, and HipHop; HiGrade brings all the elements to the tables. Catering to all music enthusiasts, HiGrade is sure to please any crowd. Jed “HiGrade” Spencer was born in Brooklyn NY, July 14th 1985. With a love for music at a young age, early influences such as The Beatles, Wu-Tang, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Buju Banton, and many more varied classic artists turned him on to a wide variety of music. When relocated to South Florida in 1996, HiGrade began hanging out in local record stores, learning about the art of DJing and was introduced to the more electronic genres of music like battle djing and Drum n Bass. Local spots like "The Playground", "Orbit/Ovation", and DJs such as A-Trak, Dara, Aphrodite, Craze and AK1200 fortified HiGrade’s desire to play music for the masses. It was not until 2009, that HiGrade was finally able to get his hands on his own equipment and start honing his skills. HiGrade began playing a weekly Reggae night at Reef Road, West Palm Beach in April of 2010 and this launched his DJ career. Meeting new people in the industry and being invited to play at local venues, HiGrade was introduced to the Dubstep genre of electronic music and began incorporating it heavily into his live sets. Keeping the Reggae vibes intact, and incorporating all of his favorite styles, HiGrade’s brand of Electronic Bass Fusion is bold and complex. With a big move to Los Angeles in late 2013, HiGrade was working on expanding his audience, and doing some even bigger, and better shows. Also releasing 30 minute Podcasts entitled the "DJ HiGrade - HiCast". Also expect a full length "HiLife" mix and some original productions in the works as well. Currently based out of San Francisco, California, he is making a name for himself as one of the top Bay Area DJ's.
