About The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra
A TRUE STORY
In the fall of 1987, two timid boys, Jeremy and Clay, began their journey at West Monroe Junior High in West Monroe, LA. A scheduling glitch had them sharing all seven class periods, a fact their mothers discovered at "Open House." Deciding to encourage a friendship, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Johnson arranged study nights, projects, and sleepovers for their sons. Initially reluctant, Jeremy and Clay eventually grew close, forming a lifelong bond. Their true connection emerged in band class, where Clay played trombone and Jeremy played saxophone. Excelling in music, they performed together through high
school and college at Louisiana Tech, exploring genres like Rhythm & Blues, Rock-N-Roll, Classical, Jazz,
and Gospel. Despite marrying and starting families, their friendship endured. Jeremy founded the Equinox Orchestra and invited Clay to sing, sparking a successful collaboration. Jeremy moved to Savannah, GA, the day Hurricane Katrina struck, with Clay following three years later. From their base on the Southeast Coast, the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra flourished, touring across the world—from Miami to Halifax, Toronto to Las Vegas, Chicago to New York City, Israel to India. Having appeared on national television several times including their own PBS Special, their journey from junior high to international stages is a testament to their talent and enduring friendship.
