About Jojo and the Chintos
Surviving band members consist of:
CHARLES: Vocals, Lead Guitar, and Zamboochi. Charlie, being one of the founding members of the CHINTOS was born in the rainforests of Peru. The son of world famous missionaries, Charlie spent much of his childhood playing music with water foul and wild peacocks. Charlie is still known to pull out his zamboochi and play during jam sessions, although it is discouraged as it has caused injury to others in the past.
JOJO: Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, and Mouth Harp. Born in Anaktuk, Alaska, Nish was a well established member of an undiscovered Inuit biker gang. After turning informant for the F.B.I., he was relocated under the witness protection program to Ontario, Canada. He then responded to a 'want' add placed by the CHINTOs requesting personal security. The CHINTOS soon discovered his musical abilities and the rest is history.
SHAUN: Vocals, Bass Guitar, and Spoons. Shaun has been playing music in various well known bands for quite some time. An excellent bass player, Shaun is known for his flamboyant apparel and dynamic stage presence throughout the music industry. Shaun has also maintained a parallel career in the movie industry; appearing in such films as the Lion King, Herbie the Love Bug and many other children's classics.
WAYNE: Drums, Percussion, and Pan Flute. Fellow founding member of the CHINTOS, Wayne and Charlie met while on their first tour of duty in WWI. Wayne has survived 37 assassination attempts resulting in the loss of 2 limbs and 6 digits. Son of Zamphir "Master of the Pan Flute", Wayne is often criticized by his father for his contemporary approach to playing the Pan Flute. While recently appearing on the Dini Petty Show, Wayne was quoted as saying:
"JO JO and the CHINTOS are available for your listening pleasure. For bookings email us at jojoandthechintos@hotmail.com"
