Breach & Bellow

Breach & Bellow is the songwriting project of Colorado based multi-instrumentalist Jesse W Spencer. Jesse realized at a young age that playing in a rock band and touring the nation was a dream that he indeed wanted to pursue. One day his dreams became true. Jesse found himself touring with bands that he heard on the radio in middle school, Matchbox Twenty and the Goo Goo Dolls. As a drummer for Matt Hires, The Wild After, and Leash of Foxes, Jesse has become very comfortable behind the drums. In 2014, Jesse realized there was something missing and being inspired by the songwriting likes of City and Colour, the National, Bon Iver and Greg Laswell he felt inspired to embark on his first major solo endeavor. He soon formed Breach & Bellow, a solo project to tell his own story – ambitious yet vulnerable, reflective yet driven. After completing a successful kickstarter campaign, Spencer spent 2 weeks recording his debut release at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado with producer Chris Beeble. "Burn the Effigy" was released on March 24th, 2015. The record is a personal one for Jesse, but with the open mindset that producer / engineer Chris Beeble took at creating the soundscape, there was a real opportunity to create something from the ground up.
