About McHale
McHale is a Southern California native, raised in a musical home in Huntington Beach with his 3 brothers. He spent his childhood drawing, playing the guitar, and writing songs with his brothers. Later in his teens McHale formed a band named Down in Red with his oldest brother Andrew and played lead guitar until age 18 when he finally found his voice. He admits it took a lot of practice.
The band played in various venues but broke up on the road in Tahoe after two years. In his early twenties, McHale struggled and moved around a lot trying to find his place in the world. He relied on music to make ends-meet and played in various bands in Portland and Utah. After years of hardship, McHale decided to finally return to California, borrowing money for a bus ticket home. At this time, he was offered a job commercial fishing in Alaska and jumped at the opportunity,
Being a commercial fisherman was a hard but amazing experience for McHale. So much that he fished every summer for 5 years. With the money he made from being on the sea he would fly back to Los Angeles at the end of the fishing season and as much as he could. At this time, his music career began to take off, winning music showcases and recording songs with professionals within the industry.
McHale is far from being new to music, being that music has been his most consistent companion. He is eager to share his music with others and interact with his new friends as he navigates his way his musical journey.
