About Calling Closure
Every band has trouble standing out, especially at the beginning of their journey, regardless of their genre. This is an adventure that is often an arduous task of self realization. However, standing out is second nature for Calling Closure , and their first official release "Into the Dark" is intended to prove it. Early in 2014, The founding members, Calico Seven (Vocalist/Bassist) and John "Darthdeth" Samms (Vocalist/Guitarist) started writing the material that has become "Into the Dark". It attracted the attention of other musicians nearby. From their early fanbase they accrued Casey Ison (Drummer) to start performing as a three piece. After a very short time, They picked up Mutt O'neill (Guitarist) to complete their sound. Since the completion of the lineup, in March 2014, Calling Closure has performed in multiple states on the East coast. They have shared the stage with nationally and globally recognized acts such as: Farewell My Love, Come The Dawn, For The Fallen Dreams, Oceano and Miss May I. In June, Calling Closure was invited, by Neil Sheehan, to record "Into the Dark" with Producer and Musician Don Debiase whose works include: Modern Day Escape, Beneath The Sky and Black Veil Brides among others. The fruit of that effort, "Into The Dark", is a whirlwind of influences resulting in a mixture of metalcore riffs, rivaling the styles of Trivium, All That Remains and Bullet For My Valentine, fused with choruses that are reminiscent of early Good Charlotte, Atreyu, The Used and even Marylin Manson. Meanwhile, the music has the feeling of early My Chemical Romance and Escape the Fate while maintaining grooves equal to that of modern Avenged Sevenfold. All while encompassing vocals that range from intense screams to emotional singing. "Our music has verses so heavy you'll want to mosh to it and choruses so catchy that your girlfriend will want to sing along." stated Calico Seven, at a show in August. As this great journey takes way, Calling Closure invites music lovers of all kinds to stand out and take a step Into the Dark, this Fall. We are Calling Closure, a harmonious mixture of pop/punk, rock, and metal.
