About Millennial
MILLENNIAL is a group of guys who, true to their Generation Y character, have begun to forge their path with confident, self-expressive, liberal, upbeat music that is created with the notion to “make a change.” A diverse generation of singer/songwriters and musicians reigning from Charlotte, NC, Rodney Eldridge (lead vocals), Logan Fincher (lead guitarist) and Jon Hussey (drums) formed a mutual bond derived from their passion for creative musical expression. That passion led them to take the leap to pursue their dream and served as the inspiration behind the trio’s newest project entitled DREAMERS. DREAMERS casts a wary eye on human nature, the compulsion to follow the rules as we know them, and the balance between reality, fiction and the transition. The band’s dreamy life philosophy is highlighted in the abstract, thought-provoking lyrics and idiosyncratic music compositions as an imaginative and optimistic narration to “seek out the future.” Our goal is to inspire…and each and every listener may take away something different. We just hope the difference is how we ‘move’ them to make a difference in their own lives. Their storylines and melodies are in keeping with the contemporary work product of alt/rock/pop groups One Republic, The Killers and Moon Taxi, and a 70s flashback to Elton John’s visionary penmanship infused by a psychedelic space reminiscent of Pink Floyd. The young group highlights its personality with its infectious energy on the stage (notably described as “mind-blowing”). Formed as official just a little more than a year ago, MILLENNIAL (2013) has already played a number of venues across the Southeast (Visualite Theater, The Evening Muse, The Blind Pig and Neighborhood Theater) as well as some of the industry’s most notable music festivals including South By Southwest and the Red Gorilla Music Festival. The band’s successful launch met with an unexpected detour. Millennial experienced an unforeseen setback in May 2015, when band member Logan Fincher suffered from a brain aneurysm that could have left him paralyzed. Logan’s medical condition and his recovery became Millennial’s conviction. Logan’s medical condition left a big hole (in time) for all of us to re-evaluate our direction--what we were doing with our lives and why we were doing it. Going through such a traumatic experience puts everything into perspective and Logan’s full recovery, and his expressed faith, reinforced our goal. Music is food for our soul; it’s the air that we breathe; it’s the heartbeat of our lives. It’s what we were created to do. The music of MILLENNIAL can easily be identified with nighttime drama or film scores and the songwriters’ talents are quickly being recognized; “Paralyzed” is featured in the upcoming film “The Ultimate Legacy” (featuring Raquel Welch, Bill Cobbs and Lee Meriwether/Scheduled to air on the Hallmark Channel in 2016). MILLENNIAL is a “Don't Stop Believing” futuristic trek to “question reality” and keep our imaginations alive—to dream where no man’s gone before—to live life above and beyond, and far, far away from the norm. A Generation Y “Space Odyssey.” Grab our EP "DREAMERS" On ITUNES!
