About Martiste
Martiste - a name that stands for an certain kind of atmosphere
From their humble beginnings as a trio in 2014, Hanover, Germany, the band has walked the paths of rock and have allowed themselves to be inspired by music from the 90’s. As well as major influences such as Nirvana or Radiohead, the band integrates, from their very first compositions onwards, elements of classical music, where strings and majestic pianos hold a place of choice. After their first EP « Hesitation » (2016) and a series of concerts in the region of Hanover, the musicians are taking a step back to find the time to renew themselves.
Martiste returns in 2017 as a collective, appearing on stage in different setups, focusing more on their “ambient” inspirations. On that note, the band has been working closely with producer Fabio Trentini (Guano Apes, Donots), to follow this new direction, following the footsteps of bands such as Deftones or Boards of Canada.
