About So What Robot
Just like many angry young men that pick up guitars and write songs, So What Robot have guitars and are men. Pop Dadaists, Funky Existentialists: They’ll do things with their fingers that makes sound happen. And they hope you like it. Amongst previous ramblings such as Work and Play and A Girl Who Reads they muse upon loving, working, cats and mythological adventure. They hope to spoon musical medicine into your ears that will expand your pleasure cortex and tickle your Fancy. Other humans have also heard and enjoyed their music; they’ve recently shared the stage with Ultrasound, Art Brut, Big Beat Bronson, The Little Comets and The Wonderstuff. The general consensus was articulated amiably and affectionately. Awesome! 'The energetic guitar-playing and quirky lyrics are irresistibly cheerful' Musicbyday.com 'Chirpy, literate, and flaunting an edgy pop acidity' Manifesto Magazine 'So What Robot have a great fun element to them which makes them instantly likeable. They take the new wave/post punk genre and add their own modern pop hook to it.' Deviant Magazine With a toe-tapping beat, and a lot of backing woohoos, these Newcastle-Upon-Tyne boys have produced a song that is set to be a selling sensation. Neverenoughnotes.co.uk 'a beautifully quirky sliver of jittery, yelping pop fun' 'you’re almost certain to be lifted by the unrelenting force of its endearing boisterousness' www.drownedinsound.com 'The energetic guitar-playing and quirky lyrics are irresistibly cheerful' www.musicbyday.com 'excitable, sugar-infused sound' www.artrocker.com “Driving angular guitars, st-st-stuttering drums and sun-drenched harmonies blend into a sound that is as unique as their incredible live shows” - Pennyblack Music "a compelling image and an equally compelling sound... they liven up the venue and their happy attitude is infectious!" - Deviant Magazine “Leftfield, quirky madness, it will be stuck in your head all week” – Aaron Philips, Amazing Radio So What Robot.
