Brackett Young Guns

The summer of 2011 was the birth place of the Texas Country/Rock band, The Brackett Young
Guns. 5 guys, 2 sets of brothers, all living in the same small town of Brackettville TX, population
1,675. The Blevins consists of Brandon (Lead Guitar and Lead Vocals), Kevynn (Bass and Vocals),
and Dillon Blevins (Drummer and Vocals). The Ashley Brothers are Walt (Rhythm Guitar and
Vocals) and Webb, the bands specialist (Banjo, Fiddle, Harmonica, Mandolin, Guitar, Cowbell,
and Vocals). The brothers had known each other since elementary school, but never joined as a
band until high school. They started off in their small town of Brackettville, TX playing at the
annual local festival Fort Clark Days.
Since their first gig in 2011 the band has played in a number of places including Concan, Uvalde, San Angelo, Gonzalez, San Antonio, Sonora, Del Rio, San Marcos, Lubbock, and have even opened up for the one and only Radney Foster at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. The band has also opened up for The Dirty River Boys in Del Rio, Texas. The band recorded and released their first single, "Just One Kiss" in the summer of 2013 and released their single "Tu Es Muy Bonita" in the summer of 2015. Both songs are currently on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music Etc. and have been very well received by their fans! The Brackett Young Guns are now working on new material and plan to release new music to the public soon!
The band members are currently in high school and in college. Webb Ashley is a sophomore at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and is an active member of the Delta Tau Delta chapter there. Walt Ashley is currently at Abilene Christian University on a football scholarship and Brandon Blevins is attending Texas State University in San Marcos, TX and is an active member in the Phi Kappa Psi chapter there. Kevynn and Dillon Blevins are both high-school students at Brackett High School and plan to attend Texas State University in the future. The band is currently based in San Marcos, TX.
Together they form the Brackett Young Guns, truly a band of brothers. Their sound can be compared to the likes of classic Texas Country blended with elements borrowed from Southern Rock genres and even some folk genres as well. The band thrives on stage and many fans will tell you the energy and the performance is the best part of their live show. BYG never fails to entertain a group of people no matter the size and location and that is why their fans love them. Authentic sounding and truly a group of characters onstage, the Brackett Young Guns always find a way to make any place a party!
