Burton Cummings

Love love loved BC! Grew up with this music. I had goosebumps when he sang his and the original Guess Who songs. Newer songs were very much appreciated as well. Such talent, a real showman and so proud to say he is Canadian!

I saw him in Ottawa circa 1976. Although his voice is a little raspy, Burton Cummings hasn't missed a beat. Great show. The only small negative was the seating. Not so comfortable. Recommend videotrons to make it easier to see the stage from a distance.

What a great performance. Wow Burton still sounds great. Loved the venue. Easy for us to get to. It was a great night so many great sounds.

Burton Cummings put on a wonderful performance. He sang mist of his great Guess Who songs. The venue was intimate and with the standing general admission, you could get close to the performers.

My first concert to see you performing and it was an excellent show last night at the Festival de Blues de 3-Rivières. Moreover, you were wonderful singing the French song. Hope you will come back and next time Quebec City. 😉 Bravo !! Nancy C.

As usual BC NEVER disappoints! It was amazing for a 75 year old to be rockin on stage like he does. He sang non stop for 2 hours! He is and always will be a force to be reckoned with and one of the best performers on Earth! I love seeing him in concert, this is 13th I think! 🤔 I’m in BC Heaven and hope I never come down! Best Canada Day ever!!!!

Despite the passage of time, Burton Cummings and his band still deliver a fantastic show filled with clever banter, an incredible set list, and skilful musicianship. This 130 minute concert by a Canadian icon was one of the best we have ever seen!

Spectacular! Got a front row seat and waited my whole life to hear Burton sing and WOW. I adored Burton's humour between songs. Being from "The Boot" myself, I enjoyed his amusing reference to it. The band was slick and polished and it was an incredible evening from start to finish. Burton, forget about Saskatoon - please run back to Medicine Hat for another concert soon!

I have followed his Career from 1966 to today. He still puts on a great show , all things considered. Always good to see a Canadian Rock icon, still willing and able to deliver music from the heart. I will go to see him in concert again if the opportunity arises.

Loved the show! He was on my bucket list of singers to see. Played his Guess Who hits and he was phenomenal! Only drawback if there was any, is I wish he had to play more songs from his solo career.

First time seeing Burton in concert and first time patron at The Colosseum. Good experience on both counts. Had seen the current rendition of The Guess Who at a couple other venues and enjoyed those shows, but this was different, in a good way. Even though age has diminished Burton's vocal skills a bit, you just can't beat a performance by a guy that wrote the songs and had been there, done that in the 60's-70's. He interjected some storytelling between songs which helped lend context as to what inspired the lyrics and things going on with his band mates at that time. His conversational manner with the crowd and obvious humility reminded me a lot of going to a James Taylor concert. As for his current band, Burton's keyboard skills remain excellent, his guitarists do a great job of recreating The Guess Who sound. Percussion solid, but not overwhelming. Soundboard folks did a great job balancing all vocals with instruments and avoided blasting the doors off the place. As for the Colosseum, I thought it was a clean, well-managed operation. We sat in the upper level (mezzanine) and thought the sight lines were excellent with the help of the video screens on each side of the stage. Acoustics were also good despite being elevated and pretty far back from the stage. Seating was reasonably supportive with good leg room as well. Beer and wine are available at several bar dispensaries just outside the arena. Didn't see much food. We ate in the casino area before the concert and recommend that strategy to others. Another recommendation is to get there early, if possible. Finding a space in the adjoining parking garage can take awhile, the elevators to the casinos can be congested, and it can take awhile to walk through all the other activity in the casino in order to get to the Colosseum. At 45 minutes prior to this show, the line for security extended all the way back into the core of the casino. Hence, get there early or consider getting an Express Entry pass (surcharge)

Burton Cummings was amazing. Playing for 2 hours straight and all his old songs brought back so many memories. His band was also amazing. Doing a concert on his 75th Birthday in his hometown was awesome and he never forgot where he grew up and still thinks as Winnipeg as his home.

It's everything and more that we expected. Burton did not take a break for the 2.25 hrs he was out there. We have seen various older artists come through Winnipeg and their sound had degraded but not Burton's. A very entertaining and enthusiastic night. So glad he picked Winnipeg to spend his 75 birthday!

I always love attending Burton Cummings show, it was nice to see him with Randy Bachman. It was a great night, the crowd was good, the sound and lighting were good as well. I love his music and hope to attend more of his shows. I realized when I was there there were covered group seatings, will have to keep that in mind. The only thing disappointing is I hope they will be doing something to fix the stairs getting to the seating from the top, it was very dangerous taking the first step. I was also disappointed with not being able to purchase an alcoholic beverage from the top, after getting to the top I wasn’t about to walk back down to get a drink. I asked one of the workers if we could get a drink when we got to the top and he said yes, but it was only non alcoholic.

Excellent. FABULOUS and nostalgic. Well worth waiting for since July 2020 and July 2021. So glad it happened on Wednesday night. No tornado.The crowd was excellent. Everyone was pumped up! Loved it. Cudos to Burton for his positive, upbeat attitude. Thanks for sponsoring the show.

It was actually called the Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings Together Again Tour. It was beyond spectacular. For these 2 artists to be on stage in the unbelievable humidity we had in Toronto, I applaud them. Of course the voice range is not what it used to be, but they can both belt it out. Would love to see them again, but probably not this tour. Burton and Randy both have very interesting stories from their past & their lives. Glad to have seen them.

Great show in a great venue! Crowd was super appreciative and Burton Cummings played to the crowd as he tried different songs he normally doesn’t play on tour. He told lots of stories and really engaged the audience. The venue was perfect for this type of one man performance - small and intimate.

Burton is a National Treasure. His show on Saturday night was nothing less than phenomenal. Makes one proud to be a Winnipegger when we have an ambassador like that out there pulling for us. Incredible!!!

Absolutely fantastic concert! Everyone should have the opportunity to witness this multi-faceted, musical genius in his zone live on stage. His voice is pure perfection after all these years...the tone, the enunciation... .absolutely perfection! I cannot bestow enough praise on Burton Cummings, what a great concert (and my birthday celebration)!!! Thank you!

Venue was small and personal. He was limited by being solo on keyboards without supportive instruments but this was overcome by his stories and insight to his past with the Guess Who and solo career and his vocals remain very strong
