Generally, it was an enjoyable show for me and my wife. Burton is fine entertainer and established good rapport with the mostly boomer audience. He still has the very recognizable Burton voice and phraseology but if you are expecting soaring renditions of his songs you will be disappointed....he is at best 50-60% of what you might hear on You Tube videos of vintage Burton. But to me that was good enough...I mean he's 77 and doesn't any lip synching and prerecorded music. His back-up band is very good.If you like his music go see him.

Jim Messing was great and the quality of the sound was great. The Guess Who sound was very disappointing. Whoever did the sound check setup missed it. I'm 66 with great hearing and have been to many concerts. The first half of the hard rock songs were difficult to pickup clear vocals. I was sitting a few rows behind the sound engineer(s). Halfway through he walked around and made changes that helped some. Several around me said something similar. Burton's voice has held up damn good, his playing was very good. The playlist had us singing along. My wife realized she knew more of their songs than she thought. She and I overall had a good time. My two cents....

Excellent concert. Great venue, seats are comfortable and plenty of leg room. It was great seeing Burton again. Saw him in the early 70's with the Guess Who. But this time, he was very personable and talked to the audience. If anyone enjoys his music, I would recommend going, as he and the band entertained the entire audience.

About Burton Cummings

Britain had Eric Burdon, America had John Fogerty, and Canada had Burton Cummings, the unmistakable voice of the original The Guess Who’s classic hits. Cummings' powerhouse pipes became the driving force of the group. With Cummings at the helm as lead singer and principal songwriter with the original The Guess Who, Burton recorded and wrote/co-wrote hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Albert Flasher”, “Star Baby”, “Clap for The Wolfman,” and “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature”. In the fall of 1975, ten years after joining the Guess Who, the band broke up and Burton Cummings moved on to pursue a long-anticipated solo career. As a solo artist, he leaves his mark with the poignant “Stand Tall,” “I’m Scared,” “You Saved My Soul,” and his signature “My Own Way to Rock”.

With the original The Guess Who, Burton earned recognition for the first U.S. platinum album by a Canadian artist and, as a solo artist, the first quadruple platinum Canadian-produced album. Burton is honoured to have received, in total, 80 platinum and gold record awards.

Burton Cummings remains at the top of his game as an unrivalled singer, songwriter, showman, and recording artist. Described as Canadian rock ‘n’ roll royalty, a national treasure, and a living legend, for Burton Cummings there has always been one constant: he remains true to himself and his own way to rock…and continues to perform the songs the way they were originally conceived by the artist who sang and wrote/co-wrote them.
