There are at least 2 groups with the name Gandhi.
1.) Gandhi is a Costa Rican rock band formed by Luis Montalbert-Smith (lead vocals, keys, songwriting), Federico Miranda (lead guitar), Abel Guier (bass) and Massimo Hernández (drums). Inspired in brittish groups such as Pink Floyd, Queen and the Beatles, and latinamerican bands Soda Stereo and Caifanes, they have released four albums: "El Jardín del Corazón" (1997), "Páginas Perdidas" (2000), "BIOS" (2002) and "Ciclos" (2004).
They are known for their campaign against arming and domestic violence entitled "ARMAS, NO GRACIAS" which is demonstrated in the thematic of one of their latest singles "Sr. Caballero". Other well-known hits are "El Invisible", "Quisieras", "Seca Reja Roja" and "En Dibujos Animados".
They also recorded a Soda Stereo Tribute (with the song Séptimo día) wich includes very important latinamerican musicians such as Jumbo, Moenia, Aterciopelados, Julieta Venegas and Control Machete.
They've shared the stage with bands and artists such as Café Tacuba, La Ley, Deep Purple, Los Enanitos Verdes, Jaguares, Aterciopelados.
