Early jazz and soul influences have awaken Pablo De Mattei’s urge to get actively involved with music. Through his particular interest in electronic styles in 1988 he stepped into the local scene, gaining recognition under the dj Paul moniker. After his first residency at a bar, in 1992 he began playing in night clubs like Bull Dog, Deus Machine, El Dorado,The Probe,Viva Buenos Aires. His first residency was in 1999 in the legendary Morocco Club. A couple of years later he became a regular at renowned Clubland nights at Pacha, sharing the dj booth with resident Hernan Cattaneo and the likes of Nick Warren, Sasha, Dave Seaman, Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, among others. His progressive house n’ breaks sets, filled with dark and intense passages, sounded at every Creamfields Buenos Aires edition, in parties like Moonpark with Hernan Cattaneo and Junkie XL, and in the Argentinian's Southfest 2006 and 2007. Eager to explore his production boundaries, in 2002 Paul began working with fellow musician Mercurio and soon after their U2 Ultraviolet bootleg was carried on tour by some of the world’s most famous djs. That same year with dj Buey and Federico Stuart they started BPS, a production crew focused on remixing (their take on Coldplay’s Clock was even praised by Paul Oakenfold) and commercial jingles. Also with Stuart & Bobby Flores, Paul works on his own compositions and remixes local artists . Ricky Ryan aka Can Costa and Ariel Alvarez aka BIA are among his other studio partner, together they make excellent tracks support today for the best Djs in the scene. Apart from his usual gigs around Argentina (he’s also toured Spain,USA, Peru, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay,Brazil,among others country ) and focusing on his own productions in this 2008, Paul had already more new tracks and they still have the support for djs like Nick warren, Hernan Cattaneo and many others -. Today He is in charge of the music on the radio "Metro FM" (www.metro951.com) and also have his own show call "SELECTIONS" every sunday morning 02-04am (GMT-3).
In addition his Album has just edited début "Progressive Beats" with the collaboration and special production of his associate Dj Bia, with whom also they form the duo a.k.a. "SOUTHMATES".He is the DJ in charge to close de 2011 & 2013 Personal Fest edition with The Strokes, Beady Eye ,Sonic Youth , INXS , Lenny Kravitz, Muse among others. In this 2012 Paul is one of the artist of the first edition of UMF Buenos Aires (Ultra Music Festival). Later, he produces one of the remixes of the track "Please Me" from the Album "Poncho Remixes". This Album wins a Gardel Price 2013 as a "The Best Electronic Music Album".It´s the first DJ of his country to be convened to form part of the line up of the first edition of the Festival Lollapalloza Argentina 2014. In April Signs contract with Universal Music and edit their 2nd album titled "Dark Sides Album". In the 2017 : for 2nd time its again invited to join the Line up of Lollapalooza Argentina . In this year also publishes his new track “Close Encounters” on SUDBEAT label (property of the prestigious and famous HERNAN CATTANEO )

Nacido en Buenos Aires y con más de 29 años de carrera , Pablo De Mattei conocido como DJPaul ; se ganó un lugar entre los mejores y más prestigiosos DJs de Argentina. Arrancando allá por 1988 como residente en uno de los Pubs del famoso Pasaje Bollini hasta llegar a intervenir en el gran circuito local de los Nightclubs … pasando por Bulldog , Deus Machine , El Dorado, The Probe, Viva Buenos Aires, hasta llegar a una residencia en el mistico Morocco en 1999. En el 2000 comenzó a formar parte de las noches Clubland en Pachá Buenos Aires , donde compartió cabina junto a grandes artistas como Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Deep Dish, Dave Seaman, Paul Oakenfold, Satoshi Tomiie, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela entre otros. Definiendo su estilo (mezcla de Progressive House y Techouse) se fue presentando en los mejores festivales y eventos electrónicos del país : Lollapalooza Argentina, Moonparks, Southfest , Hot Fest , Personal Fest, Ultra Buenos Aires, SAMC , Fuerza Bruta Show y 10 años seguidos en Creamfields Buenos Aires. En el plano internacional tocó en España, Estados Unidos, Perú, Brasil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, entre otros países.
Produjo exitosos bootlegs de U2, Coldplay , Depeche Mode y remixó temas de Paul Oakenfold para su sello Perfecto Records. Dentro del plano nacional , también realizó remixes para artistas como E.Horvilleur , Autenticos Decadentes, Maxi Trusso y Poncho (donde su remix del tema “Please Me” formó parte del Album “Poncho Total Remixes”, el cual obtuvo en el 2013 el Premio Gardel a Mejor Album de Electrónica).
Ademas de realizar varios singles propios , lleva editado 2 albumes de estudio : “Progressive Beats” (Music Brokers 2009) y “Dark Side Album” (Universal Music 2014). En este 2016 participa del nuevo y 2do álbum de Maxi Trusso.
Desde el 2000 trabaja en radio Metro 95.1 FM , a fines del 2005 arrancó como musicalizador en la prestigiosa emisora. En la misma se emite hace más de 10 años consecutivos su radio show “Selections” todos los Domingos (a la madrugada) de 02 a 04am. En el 2017 es nuevamente convocado a ser parte del LineUp de la 4ta Edicion del Lollapalooza Argentina. En este mismo año edita su nuevo track "Close Encounters" en el sello SUDBEAT (propiedad del prestigioso artista Hernan Cattaneo).
