Linda Rutherford and Celtic Fire

Formed in 1995 and based in Hilton, NY (northwest of central Rochester) and fronted by the stunning vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Linda Rutherford, the band also includes family members Tony (accordian, keyboards, vocals), Johnny (drums) and Rosheen (electric and acoustic guitars). Linda plays fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, keyboards, tin whistle, saxophone and flute. Celtic Fire also includes former Black Sheep guitarist Don Mancuso. Celtic Fire sadly lost original member Francis White (bass) who passed away recently. He has been replaced by Mark Amend . The album's songs are written by Rutherford family members in various combinations.
The group has toured extensively playing some of the biggest festivals in the U.S. and sharing the stage with many many national acts. In 1999 on the heels of their debut CD Stop The Rain, the group was invited to play as an emerging artist at Woodstock '99. The other band that shared honor was Muse who went on to emerge in a huge way. The group is managed by Bruce Pilato of Pilato Entertainment (Asia, ELP, Greg Lake, Carl Palmer, Tacye, Anthony Phillips, and many others).
