Whoever is turned off by labels such as Country, Western or Blues, gets it in the neck from Billy Hill: This young collective from the Netherlands creates an appealing mix from good old Hillbilly-clichés and refreshing Rock-Pop. With her unmistakable voice frontgirl Lisa gives the audience glimpses into remarkable characters – with a straight face or with a wink: always with goosebumps! Mature compositions meet four instrumentalists bursting from musical energy. Their mastery of the instruments, their sensitivity for the moment plus lots and lots of fun produce a big and unique sound that’s difficult to get away from.
