Nothing To Die

Make today count. That’s the message blaring out of the texturized symphony of punk magic that is Nothing To Die. Hailing from the Northeastern United States and now established in Memphis, TN, Nothing To Die came together in the Fall of 2013 to start performing their own twist on punk rock. Drawing from influences such as A Day To Remember, Four Year Strong, and Blink 182, Nothing To Die crafts energetic, in-your-face songs filled with truthful everyday lyrics. Recently Nothing To Die recorded their first punk anthem, “Kings.” “Kings” calls us to stop placing the blame on others and own up to our own responsibility; it’s about recognizing that we are all flawed people, and for the most part, it’s our own fault. Coinciding with the release of “Kings,” Nothing To Die has a hefty travel itinerary. They will be demolishing eastern seaboard venues, all-ages clubs, festivals and watering holes in the summer of 2014. The members of Nothing To Die came together from across the Northeastern U.S. while attending Visible Music College in Memphis, TN. United by a love of the hardcore/punk scene, Hannah Newell and Danny Shearer soon formed an acoustic duet to showcase their songwriting. With the addition of Ben Masters on drums and Cobrette Bardole on lead guitar, the vision of making the duet a full band was finally realized. The combination of dual lead vocalists and prolific songwriters gives Nothing To Die a unique energy. Hannah, Danny, and Cobrette all have their own unmistakable writing styles, drawing from a variety of musical influences and life experiences. With break-neck rhythms and tight harmonies, they create a unique blend of punk textures, hardcore breakdowns, and pop melodies. Assaulting listeners ears with loud guitar riffs and often brutally honest lyrics like, “We live in this mess that we’ve made of the world, and baby we all are the kings…” Nothing To Die incites a sonic riot that clamors for undivided attention. Nothing To Die believes in honesty, justice, and, of course, having a good time. “We’ve only got one life to live.” They will be bringing this memorandum with them as they hit the road to showcase their high-energy live set in both the Memphis and PA areas throughout 2014. “It is nothing to die.
