Detroit runs through Rimarkable like a current. n Afro-Puerto Rican DJ, producer, vocalist, and educator whose music moves between gospel and techno, funk and soul, with the ease of someone who has always known that the dance floor is sacred ground. A celebrated presence on stages worldwide alongside Louie Vega, Danny Tenaglia, Francois K, and Dimitri from Paris, she hosts the Defected Radio Show, teaches her signature "Alchemy of the DJ" curriculum as Adjunct Professor at NYU's Clive Davis Institute, and leads Betty Jean's Dream, her independent label rooted in the spirit of the woman, her mother who first showed her what music could do.
