About Chill Clinton
Chill Clinton's sound is an electrifying take on hip hop, showcasing beatbox grooves, street-smart lyrics, gritty guitar riffs and spacey synth sounds. Combining electric guitar, synthesizers, live drums and hip-hop vocals, the Chill Clinton stage act is energetic and innovative with top notch musicianship and a unique live hip-hop production.
Chill Clinton has gigged high and low including notable support spots for Fishbone, Mickey Avalon, Capitol Eye and Stranger at San Diego venues ranging from dive bars to The Belly Up Tavern, The Casbah, Winston's and the House of Blues. Chill Clinton has been featured in the Coachella Valley Weekly and Boogie Magazine as well as airplay in podcasts including Listenlocalradio.com and musolist.com.
Founded in 2009 by Dan Rabb and DJ Morante, San Diego-based Chill Clinton began as a two-piece act performing live mash-ups of sampled drum loops, a capella raps and guitar riffs. The group evolved from DJ-music to a live band by including Pat Knightly on drums and MCs Touch of CAS and dynamic MC-duo, The Brothers Burns.
