About Free the Fallen
Being a band for a little over a year, Free the Fallen has managed to write, record, and release a 5 track debut titled "Reveries" (Atrium Audio/Carson Slovak) now available through Itunes, BigCartel, and Myspace Music. With an aspiration of each member to become better and stronger as a band, Free the Fallen, both unique and original combining multiple music styles to blend a unique sound but still retain a commercial style. Free The Fallen is certainly a new, but strong contender in the already competitive music scene in the 717. Each member has had their separate experiences with different bands, and coming together to form one band is surely a recipe for excellence in the genre. Free The Fallen has already established themselves as one of the quickest rising bands in the 717. The group has already traveled as a main support act for CI records 'With Life In Mind' and Lancaster county's heavyweight and Equal Vision's own Texas In July, to playing a sold out show for Lancaster County natives August Burns Red's "Home" DVD video shoot on Solid State Records, to being voted to perform at Purple Door Festival 2010. On October 1, 2010, the band released their debut music video for the single 'Century' drawing over 4,000 views in a little over 2 months. Most recently being selected and featured as the 'Unsigned Band of the Month' for November/December on ilikedyoubetterdead.com. In April 2011, Free Fallen parted ways with vocalist Kyle Irwin for personal reasons. They added Logan Sitler (Ex-Facing The Giants) to the family. The quintet returned to Atrium Audio to record their sophomore EP with renowned recording engineer Carson Slovak. This time, the group wanted to push their boundaries and showcase a new style and their capabilities as a group. This EP captures more of a Hardcore style, mixing breakdowns, melodies, harmonizing, and group vocals into each and every song. The new EP is titled "Manipulator" and includes 6 songs, one track features a guest vocal spot from Texas In July's Alex Good. 'Manipulator' is now available exclusively on Itunes. The band decided to call it quits in July after nearly 2 years. All 5 members are at a different point in their life and finding the time to dedicate to the project was difficult, and each memember wanted to give all or nothing. As of late September, the idea was in the works to put together a much demanded reunion/farewell show. The band is slated to take the stage December 17 with their close friends Texas In July for the annual Christmas show. From this point on, anything is possible for Free The Fallen.
