Deirdre Faegre

Deirdre's been playing the piano about as long as she's been able to walk. Never had lessons but picked it up watching her Dad and youtube videos. Paul McCartney and The Beatles were a huge part of the Faegre house hold and other 60's influences including who would become her biggest idol, Joni Mitchell. Deirdre didn't enjoy the guitar as much as the piano until she was 14, Joni's music and many UK singer songwriters brought her closer to the guitar and songwriting. The first song Deirdre wrote at age 11 was published "Shining In My Hair" with her Dad (Leland Thomas Faegre) playing guitar and producing. Deciding to head to England in 2014 was a great move for Deirdre and inspiring. Playing Together The People Festival with Folklore Sessions in September 2015 being the highlights so far. She continues to write and is releasing her first EP in April 2016. Deirdre's style is a Folky/Jazz, much like her idol Joni Mitchell. She plays guitar, piano, dulcimer and sings.
