The Affectionates

The Affectionates emerged from the gritty Durham, NC house party scene as a new original indie rock band early in 2014, The Affectionates sound is a kaleidoscope of of lo-fi, guitar pop, electronica, and folk. Buoying a line between Townes Van Zandt-esque lyrical weight and The Pixies exuberance, the band describes their music as a big loud fun wall of articulate sounds and discrete melodies.
