COATL

COATL (KÓAt•l) is an Alternative Metal Band from Los Angeles, California. Cofounders Alma Perez & Israel Vega wanted to choose a band name that connected them to their Mexican heritage. COATL means 'serpent' in Nahuatl, the ancient language of the Aztecs and Toltecs. The serpent was a main deity for the ancients, symbolizing wisdom, energy, and everlasting evolution.

Shakti COATL's fourth album, explores new musical spectrums as the band collaborates with Singer-Songwriter and Producer German Briseño (PRMTV Sound) and their longtime producer Adassi Adassi (Fuel Music). The album delves into the rabbit hole of human origins, conspiratorial theories that defy traditional beliefs about our creation and purpose. It questions the roles of religion, science, and government in human history, serving as a call to action for the study and rediscovery of secret mysteries, mystical arts, and spiritual practices that once prevailed in ancient civilizations and still intrigue modern-day mankind.
