About Constants

Constants are a post-hardcore/post-rock band from Boston, MA, started in 2003 by their original line-up consisting of Will Benoit, Orion Wainer, and Duncan Rich. In 2006, they toured the United States for ten months in a converted '66 school bus in support of their second release, "The Murder of Tom Fitzgerril" EP, enlisting help on guitar from John Hassell (ex-Seneca), who stayed on as a full-time member for some time after. A year following this tour, Duncan left to reattend college; Rob Motes stepped in to fill his position. In the spring of 2008, the band released a split 7" with fellow Boston post-rockers Caspian. Later that spring, guitarist John Hassell left the group to focus on his career in movie-making; the band decided to continue on as a trio.
