The Gaslight Anthem

TGA was way better than Counting Crows. This band still has it and is interactive with all crowds. Maybe next time they won’t short themselves and tour with a band that is as good as they are.

When the band got back to playing in between the lead singer’s rambling monologues, it was fun. The sound at the Anthem is okay, never sounds as good as you expect, though. Lead singer (Brian Fallon) was kind of mean and his lengthy, pointless stories really brought down the vibe. Sad because they’re a band we love but now we feel differently.

A billion stars! It was so lit. All the bands played well and got the crowed HYPED. I would argue this might have been the best performance I’ve seen The Gaslight Anthem/Brian Fallon do. It was banger after banger. Gaslight Anthem if you happen to see or read this comment, thank you. AMAZING show. Chicago loves you. (Leave our pizza outta this.)

Absolutely amazing , they killed it. Song after song after song , playlist was awesome, , the whole crowd sing word for word , that’s gotta feel amazing , wasn’t even too many douche bags with their phones in the air so glad they are touring again

First time at HOB and really enjoyed the venue. Setlist could not have been better. They came out and ripped through their set with very little chatting. I’ve enjoyed Brian’s stories and talking at past shows but there was no slowing them down on this night.

The openers were really good, and TGA were talented and entertaining. Interestingly enough, it was very different from my last TGA show last fall, where Brian had a lot of (fun) banter and interaction with the crowd. He barely spoke this time (I enjoyed both takes), and I appreciated how they seemed to play a mostly different set list each time. I got to hear a lot of my faves.

Great sound, great set. First time at The Mission Ballroom, cool venue. The set list was amazing! Heard so many songs, that I have never heard live before. They played Michigan 1975 which I never expected. Loved it so much.

I waited nine years for that show! It was absolutely amazing. Catbite was the best opener I have seen in quite some time, so much energy. Donovan Woods cracked me up with his in between songs banter, and broke my heart with his music. The Comedy act. I wish I could remember her name had me in tears! And then the top it off The Gaslight Anthem, fucking killed it! Just like they said they played all the songs I loved, and left nothing out.

Finally got to see Gaslight live after so many years. Did not disappoint! Falcon is quite the jokester and loved the stories and jokes between songs. Really felt like they came to give it all to the crowd, not just show up and play songs.

From the start, it was clear something was wrong with Brian Fallon. He was having a hard time hitting notes, and his voice was cracking a little. After a few songs, he left the stage for a few minutes, then returned and explained, in a very hoarse voice, that he could barely talk and was having a hard time singing. He said he wanted to keep going if the crowd agreed, but he would stop the show and reschedule if not. He said he might have to modify some songs if they kept playing. The crowd overwhelmingly wanted to continue. It ended up being a strong show. They played a toned-down but very effective version of "Great Expectations," and on several songs, the crowd picked up slack on the lyrics. The band was energetic, the music sounded great, and the crowd was into the show despite the problems. I hope to be able to see them when they're at their best, but I'm glad I was there for this one.

Brian Fallon was sick or had a sore throat so his vox were a little low, but they made up for it by playing their instruments extra hard. Really solid band who did their best to let the show go on. Even at less than a hundred percent I was glad I finally got to see them. Will definitely check them out if they come back again at full strength.

First time seeing them live. I got into the band during there last album cycle an finally got to see them! They played well and sounded great. Brian was pretty hilarious in between songs, and the crowd was full of cool people. They are now a band that I will see anytime they come to the area.

The show was a little rough, but it was also the first show of the tour, and it’s been a little while. I deeply enjoy Brian Fallon’s meandering and the music was perfect. I *really* love their abstinence from the whole “encore” charade.

Great gig ..very nice venue ..long time fan but first time seeing The Gaslight Anthem ..thought I’d missed out when they split a few years back ..good set list with stuff from all albums played only gripe was the price of Merch but I suppose it reflects on the times we’re in now but all in all a good night out tho

Always amazing. Brian Fallon has perfected the balance of music and great 'stage patter'. Amazing setlist and I'm always a fan of a random cover by the Gaslight Anthem. Appreciate the mix of songs, covers and chat is not everyone cup of tea but I personally love it. First time in the O2 in Edinburgh, which was a brilliant venue that was well organised with polite staff and security.

Needed a bigger venue... packed house, great show! Sensed the tension on stage between band-members. Lots of fans from Jersey that’s for sure. Ticket sales went in seconds. Had to pay way too much.

District Square is a good venue. Don't go at door time unless you want to buy a beer and chat. The band opening band didn't play until 9pm. Gaslight Anthem was a little late due to some driving difficulties. But, the set they played happened to be amazing. Straight to the point, no filler. The crowd, however, took forever to get energized. The band couldn't read the crowd either because once a little energy sparked they switched into a mellow sad song instead of driving the energy up. The final six songs I watched some amazing patrons encourage some fun by jumping and squeezing close, hinting at a crowd begging to be alive. The closing songs were 10 times louder as the people around me sang louder than the stage. I haven't seen a more dedicated fan base. If only they had a concert they truly deserved.

Gaslight has been my favorite band for a few years now and this was the first opportunity I got to see them. The show was absolutely phenomenal. They play an awesome mix of all there stuff old and new, also a cover or two. Both opener where also really good. It was do cool getting to see the Desa reunion tour.

Amazing show. Open acts weren't my cup of tea but Gaslight was better than expected. Unfortunately, their drummer had to leave due to an emergency at home, so they played half an acoustic set and had the drummer from another band fill in.
