Russ is my all time favorite male hip hop artist. This is my third time seeing him in concert and it never fails that I become an even bigger fan than before. (If that’s even possible).
I do have to address the venue tho. Artists should NEVER have to do their job as a performer AND securities job at the same time. Live Nation should have very much learned their lesson from 4 years ago. I am very disappointed in them for not having enough competent security staff. Yet again. Luckily nobody was seriously injured.

Russ and Big Sean did not disappoint at all! The shows they put on were incredible! The venue was not one I will be ever planning to go back to again, it was so unorganized and security did a horrible job of keeping it safe for people. There were multiple incidents were Russ had to stop the show to yell at security for not being around when injuries happened or people were acting out. Can’t wait to see Russ again in the future, hopefully at a better venue!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Russ – Germanic Insurance Amphitheater, Austin TX – 07/30/2025
Russ’s Performance:
Russ once again proved why his live shows are unmatched. No matter the size of the crowd, he has a way of making it feel personal—like every person there is part of the conversation. His energy, connection, and effortless ability to move between hype tracks and heartfelt moments created an intimate concert experience from start to finish. Whether you’ve seen him once or a dozen times, he delivers every single time.
Venue Pros:
• Very clean, well-maintained, and up-to-date facilities.
• Multiple concession options for food and drinks, plus pop-up bars that gave the grounds a fun, “fair-like” vibe.
• Event staff was consistently friendly, approachable, and helpful.
Venue Cons:
• Transportation/Arrival: Ride-share drop-off was over a quarter-mile from the entrance. In extreme Texas summer heat, this walk was brutal before the concert even started.
• VIP “Lounge”: Unfortunately, not a true lounge—more of a covered outdoor deck located far from the actual concert area. With temps over 104°F and no AC, no fans, and no complimentary water, it felt inaccessible as a comfortable VIP perk. Food offered included chips with queso and guac, empanadas, and churros—but heavy, hot foods didn’t pair well with the extreme heat and humidity.
• Pit Conditions: The pit was in direct sunlight with people packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Several attendees passed out from heat exhaustion or possible heat stroke. The only fan available to pit-goers was off to the side of the stage near the security checkpoint, rather than placed in front to help cool the crowd.
• Ride-share Pickup: Disorganized and confusing. The default app location sent drivers to Lot A, which was blocked off, forcing everyone to Lot E. Officers on site threatened to arrest anyone loading from the street instead of the lot. This caused chaos—riders struggled to find their drivers in a mass of cars, headlights, and chaos.

About Russ
Thirty-one-year-old multi-platinum rapper, singer songwriter, producer and best selling author Russ walks his own path, at his own pace. In his 10+ years of releasing music, Russ has developed an extensive catalog of music that has collectively surpassed over 22 billion career streams and 25 million singles sold to date. By doing so, he’s proved that he doesn’t need a major label, making the Forbes “30 Under 30” list in 2019, selling out arenas across the U.S. and around the globe, and becoming one of the most popular engaged rappers and thought leaders in the world right now. His method is simple: love and believe in yourself absolutely and work hard no matter what. In his best-selling self-help book “It’s All In Your Head,” Russ inspires readers to walk to their individual rhythms and beat their biggest obstacles: themselves.
Known for his unique rollout of dropping new singles every few weeks and producing his own tracks, Russ’ album There’s Really A Wolf released in 2017 is now RIAA certified 2x platinum and spent 84 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart with standout singles “What They Want” and “Losin Control.” His albums SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE and Zoo additionally hit the Billboard 200 chart and are now RIAA certified gold. Russ has an incredibly loyal fan base, with his song “3:15 (Breathe)” hitting a peak of over 700,000 streams daily in 2023 when it was originally released in 2021. In 2022, a champion for independent artists, Russ launched his indie label DIEMON (an acronym for “Do It Everyday Music Or Nothing”) with partner and longtime collaborator Bugus Thompson. With DIEMON, Russ launched artist Ktlyn after her remix of his platinum single “Handsomer” went viral, inspiring the open-verse trend on TikTok.
Last summer, Russ released his deeply introspective album SANTIAGO, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 chart and explores Russ’ journey of self-approval, finding his self-worth, self-love, and moving on from seeking validation from others. He brought his immersive world of SANTIAGO to his fans, holding pop-ups across the country through an entirely self-funded and self-executed marketing strategy. Russ also released a short film inspired by the album also titled SANTIAGO, which debuted over a 2-night special event in 88 theaters across the US and UK.
Russ’ artistry knows no bounds, crossing over from his usual rap/hip-hop style to going acoustic with single “Drives” and even orchestral with a remix of his songs “Drives,” “Psycho Pt. 2,” and “3:15 (Breathe)” recorded live with Strings From Paris. Russ is always releasing new music, having recently dropped his new single “In The Dirt.” He’s performed on some of the world’s largest stages and wowed audiences – including performing “Patience” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! - watch HERE.
FOR STEVE - O PENDING ON WHEN THE EPISODE WILL COME OUT
Confidentially, up next Russ is set to head out on tour with support from 6lack and Melii, he is releasing his second book this year, and he is releasing his hair care line, Palermo.
