Rivet (LA BAND)

Rivet is a riff-driven, heavy rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. The beginnings of Rivet's signature sound was crafted by lead song writer and guitarist Mat Rile who teamed up with vocalist Sleight Hammond to lay down a distinctly primitive and raspy tone. Later augmented with thick bass lines from Tom Bielek and heavy drum sound of David Krause, the complete band delivers an audible texture of mammoth proportions. The songwriting incorporates catchy riffs, full power, and plenty of attitude from end to end. Complementing this is an aggressive and convincing high energy stage presentation that drives the point home: Rivet is not to be trifled with! Rivet currently performs in many top, and infamous, venues including the House of Blues, Viper Room, Roxy, Loaded, Boardner’s, and the Coach House. They performed at festivals, fundraiser benefits, and have supported multiple national acts. Rivet has a large media presence and were recently featured in LA Weekly, Rockwell Unscene, and Metal Assault. They were additionally featured on the Heidi and Frank morning radio show on KLOS, The Pure Rock Resurrection show on the Simply Don Podcast Network, and a number of online radio shows. Rivet is currently focused on releasing their new EP in Fall 2014 and supporting the release with a series of shows. No frills straightforward dirty, heavy and gritty rock!
