Gov't Mule

Govt Mule played an awesome opening set at Pine Knob Clarkston, MI on 9/10/25!!! They rocked - bass player was on fire. Drummer was awesome, filling in for Matt Abts. Of course, Warren was on fire - voice sounded killer and guitar playing was top notch!!! Great band!!!! Highly recommend!!

Can’t help it—Still miss Jorgen. First set was just fine. Second set was most, most excellent-The way the Mule has delivered at the best shows I’ve seen. Set list was mind blowing and execution was inspired. Warren was very good, not just dialing it in. Matt was absent but John Molo was excellent stand in. The Oakland Fox remains one of the best venues to see a show.

Amazing venue… sound and visual effects were outstanding…the Jumbotron was magnificent. First time Lukas Nelson concert…second Government Mule. Both were wonderful…Lukas blew my mind! Warren Haynes is phenomenal too. However, we did think Lukas was going to play with Warren so we were a wee bit disappointed. It had to do with how the concert was shown (GM with Lukas Nelson + POTR). Regardless…incredible…just wanted more collaboration.

I've always liked the Moore Theatre and Gov't Mule is a damned good band. Last time I saw Warren Haynes was about 20 years ago at The Gorge. He was the stand-in for Jerry and also the lead guitar of the Allmans. He was a busy boy, but didn't skip a lick. Last night him and his boys blew me away!

We arrived at the venue at 6.30pm as we had VIP (Gold) entry upgrades. At the main entry, a thin, tall, middle-aged man rudely advised they would be closing the area, would we exit the building. We enquired if he could direct us to the entry for VIP, to which he rudely pointed for us to exit and said that the entries were "all marked", and it was two doors down. There was nothing marked, but another employee kindly helped us. This same gentleman came and unlocked VIP door about 6:55pm, turned his back and walked off - so we went to the podium and enquired if this was where we needed to be. We were all then ushered back out the door, the doors were again closed on us and we waited for 3 minutes until it was 7pm. For some reason the staff doing the VIP were not ready at 7pm so another short wait ensued. A lovely Irish young lady (whose name I've forgotten) took us up in the elevator and looked after us from that point on. Just a suggestion, why not tell those that have upgraded their tickets where and when to be on the night and what the process will be? We might very easily have been lost in the shuffle with all of the fellow attendees. We're very grateful for having upgraded to this service and will likely use it again, but some of the staff (not the VIP Gold staffers) were incredibly rude - especially the taller gentleman who appears not to be concerned about his job or how his actions come across to others. These two gents came in late, stinking of beer and other things - proceeded to be obnoxious the entire evening. At the interval, one of the men put his hands on me told him to keep his hands off, he then put his face close to mine which I said for him to stay back. When we returned from the break, my husband kindly switched seats but these two still shouted over the music which was a bummer. The show was great, Warren and the band never disappoint and the sound was outstanding.

Truly awesome. The Ryman is my second home. This show is why. Warren always does a fine show. This one is etched into my memory very heavily. Great versions of “Up On Cripple Creek” with local Jamey Johnson and “When My Guitar Gently Weeps” with special guest Peter Frampton. Already cannot wait to see the Mule again, or really Haynes in any form.

This was the best concert I have been to in several years. It all came together in a fantastic venue with a band I cannot believe was even playing in such a small venue. One of my biggest complaints about the current concerts is poor quality seating. I'm sixty-nine, and standing through a show is impossible. Comfort and stage visibility was excellent. There was not a bad seat in the house. As for the band, ten stars is too low a rating! Although the drive is a little out of the way, it will be one of my favorite places to see live music.

This is a stunningly great show. So, very glad that we finally seized the chance to see Govt Mule! These guys are outstanding musicians as well as hard working performers - still - after several decades of writing, recording and performing. I regret letting so much time pass before seeing them (traveled 300 miles for this show). We won’t miss another opportunity. As for the Britt Pavilion, we’ll, we’ve found our new favorite venue! Lovely setting, perfectly designed, intimate, and the sound mixing was fantastic. This was an evening to remember!😊

Holy Toledo was that wonderful! The sound mix was spectacular and the day could not have been nicer. The band sounded loud, clear, and punchy! must have been that little bass Jorgen was jamming on. Fantastic setlist and one of the best Mule shows I've ever seen. thank you!

Mule o Ween!. Great fun. Lots from the blues album and the 2nd half was devoted to This is Spinal Tap! Complete with dancing druids! drop down video clips were a hoot but very hard to hear as the there was too much reverb in the clip and the room didn't help. Loved the band and the show!

Excellent performance: but not a Excellent show. This was a twin bill al8ng with Old Crow Medicine Show. For some reason they had the Mule play 1st. So the ambience was laking, being a outside venue. Warren kept it a pretty mellow set. Judging from the line, and inventory at the Merchandise table The Mule was the more popular of the two. Old Crow Medicine Show was new to me, and they put on a very good stage show, but song quality can't even come close to the Mule. There was only one food concession tent, it was BBQ, quality was good to very good, but the coice was 1 meat (pulled pork. Beef brisket, spare ribs. Chicken breast, or smoked sausage,) and one side fries or rice. 20 bucks a plate, also the line was 45 minutes to 1 gour long. Not sure I'll let go to another show at this venue, or one produced by Dueterman productions

Gov’t Mule and old Crow Medicine show different as night and day but also complemented each other perfectly Warren Haynes is the best blues guitarist . Mule is an amazing group of artist who are in a league of their own . Old Crow high energy country folk high stepping very entertaining loved the contrast awesome

Mule was at its best! Warren's growl and guitar along with the other band members was great. I have seen about 10 shows and this was among the best. Having Mike Campbell join was a moment I thought I might never see. Was a real treat. Also, the set list combined old classics with new material from the latest album. The outdoor venue was fun.

With no opening band this was pure Gov't Mule and they played for almost a full 3 hours. It was a nonstop jam session. I was hoping for a few more covers for I love their versions of some classic Little Feat songs as well as 21st Century Schizoid Man but it was a fantastic show just the same. And I love the venue. I will be seeing them again.

Govt Mule totally brought their groove to the Mann in Philly last Friday. Unfortunately as I was leaving my seat go to the lawn, I tripped on a completely unnecessary curb and broke my leg. I was unable to stay and enjoy the rest of the night. So Mule was a 5star rating, the venue -5 Stars. Boys, don't book here again, for the health and safety of your fans!

Another awesome show by Warren Haynes, Allen Woody & the rest. If you ever get a chance to see these guys, do yourself the favor and make the show - they consistently over deliver & over perform. One of the best live blues shows out there right now.

Warren Haynes. If you have never heard him play you owe it to yourself to do so. He is a guitar master. His band is the same with their instrument of choice. Rock royalty. If you are truly a fan of great music and fantastic shows, do not pass up your next chance to see them.

Gov't Mule, led by the incomparable guitar virtuoso Warren Haynes (previously with the Alman Bros. Band) had no opening act, took to the stage just after 8pm and played a set which lasted until a bit after 11... more than 3 hours, which included a lot of songs from their new CD.Best of all - they demonstrated why musically, they are among my favorite live bands, and I loved watching Warren Haynes & Co jam through long and complex solos where their hands & fingers just became blurs flying over the frets, the keyboard, bongos or banging out the rhythm on the drums.I only wish they would play in Austin more often, as I would jump at the chance to see them again and they fit in great with the Austin "scene". My only disappointment was not hearing them do one of my favorite all time songs, "Beautifully Broken" as I was REALLY hoping to see it done live.

Concert was great...im a big fan of Warren Haines...Really disappointed with the Ithaca Theater..probably will never see another show there. We bought good seats and we had to stand the whole show because people were allowed to stand in the isles an in front if stage...A person with us did not see any of the show because he could not stand...very disappointing....Band was great...love Warren...Ithaca Theater poorly managed.....

Gov't Mule in St. Pete 10/11/14Gov’t Mule finally came back to the Bay area last night and put on a great show to the delight of the packed, sold out Jannus Landing crowd. Almost 5 years since they played in Ybor in January 2010 and it was an amazing 2 sets of a band that is as tight as they have ever been. The 20 Years Strong tour brought together songs from all era’s of the Mule, and included some tasty covers as well, Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” was a show highlight, and played some new stuff, that I hadn’t heard live before. Warren was putting on a clinic, and Jorgen was thumping the bass all night long. I wish I had gone to the other Florida shows, they played some great Beatle covers at the Miami and Jacksonville shows. They were playing like Jazz musicians, disguised as a rock band, with every member on top of their game. The Mule is still a viable touring band that will give you a great show night after night, and you will never see the same show twice, like the Grateful Dead before them, they are a must to see over and over again!
