About Armand Pena

‘Live in the Low End’ is the mantra of Latin American DJ/Producer and Beta Rebels founder Armand Pena. A vibe reminiscent of South Beach’s sunsets and heat; Armand’s sound of Deep and Funky House with Afro and Latin flavor oozes from every pore of his sets. A staple in the Miami club scene Armand is a bit of a Jekyl & Hyde, known for his calm and kind demeanor juxtaposed by his energetic body quivering performances.

Armand’s first career break came at in the early 90’s spinning shows for “Café Con Leche,” alongside the DJ heavy hitters of the time. In 2002 his white label remix of Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” and his original song “Brazilian Drums” caused an uproar. Being spun on dancefloors from Los Angeles to Kuala Lumpur. This solidified Armand’s place at Dance music’s international table. For over a decade since he has consistently received stellar reviews of his remix and original works, steadily proving he is a force to be reckoned with on a Global scale. His original releases ‘Tonight’ was released on Subliminal Records and “i Get Droned” a collaboration with the legendary Harry Choo Choo Romero ft Roland Clark was released on Steve Angello’s X Imprint.

He has also been featured on such smash compilations as Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Invasion,Subliminal Session’s Voodoo Nights, Roger Sanchez’s “Release Yourself,” Oscar G’s “Space Miami” & “Made In Miami” and various others for artists such as DJ Boris, Peter Rauhofer, Tom Stephan, Azuli Ibiza, Robbie Rivera, Cr2 live & direct Ibiza.

Armand has positioned himself in the house dance scene not only as a DJ, but also as a label owner and reputable event producer. Putting his own money and knowledgeability into his own his new imprint Beta Rebels and Electric Beach events in Miami during the Winter Music Conference. In doing this he gained the respect of peers by promoting and putting on display talent that would otherwise have not been exposed in the area. He is a true renaissance man which is revealed his multitude of talents and with the effect that he has on his crowds and fans worldwide.

In 2014 Armand joined Black Rock Management and PAM DJs for representation worldwide and is readying the launch of his Beta Rebels inaugural tour.
