Paul Simon is a living legend. To see him in person for my first time was a dream come true. He is not only an amazing musician but a poet, a singer - songwriter but a humanitarian. Wishing him a long and happy life.

At 83, he acknowledged that most all of his songs are old, and Edie Brickell stepped in on three (or four, if you count just whistling) of the songs, to support the harmonies. His new material was the whole first set, Seven Psalms. He was personable and gave some back stories on compositions, to add context, and provide interest to the audience. As the 2 hour show progressed, his energy waned a bit, but his voice and stage presence, experience and up to 12 person backing band supported the musical composer, such, that the only nominal weariness was easily dismissed, with the understanding that he is 83. He was more engaging with the audience than when we saw Dylan (10-6-23), but that's no surprise. As one would expect, his sound engineering and guitar techs brought world class precision to this rock and roll, as the line array, stage monitors and subs were top notch, the guys at the console were precise with the mix. He still has the verve and the enthusiasm; the performance provided a tremendous experience. In a brief conversation with the band's longtime musical director (from Appleton, Wisconsin) after the show, it was a great vibe, across delightful evening, for night 1 of a 3 show run in Chicago, and the tour is going well. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Unfortunately, the show got cut short due to weather so I missed one of my favorite musicians of all time in Paul Simon and some of my other favorites like Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, The Killers, Patti Smith, etc. It was still a good day of music but it wasn't great because the show got cut short.

I wish I could see him pay, not just hear...yet the sound quality was great. I am sure I heard a banjo in “the Boxer” - that was cool

Paul Simon played for almost 2-1/2 hours. Every song was great. His band had 15-20 great musicians.. I don’t know if this was his very last Farewell Tour, but I hope not!

The best!! I loved it (and of what I saw, everyone loved it as much as I did) the price was great, and my seat couldn't be better for the price, wow!! ♥️♥️♥️

Whenever Paul Simon gives a performance he gives it his all. His performance was amazing and very moving. He even tells a couple stories to the audience, which really enhances the entire show!

Amazing Great voice and amazing energy for a 76 year old. He also did a lot of talking between songs which was nice. His band was also amazing. A fantastic concert so glad we went

This show was amazing!! Thoroughly enjoyed Paul and his awesome songs, old and new, and his telling of his songwriting ways. LOVED listening to and watching all of his super talented musicians and singers. This was a really wonderful time!

Paul was terrific but last one is hard to take. Every hit and wonderful life stories added to his performance. I will so miss him.

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Such a long and awesome setlist of classic and new songs, accompanied by unbelievable musicianship and a lively crowd!

This rating system only allows 4.5/5 stars, but this was perhaps at least a 6/5. Best concert I’ve seen/heard in decades. Brilliant musicianship on the part of Paul Simon and a stellar group of supporting musicians. Some wonderful new arrangements of old tunes too.

Allegiance Field could definitely improve their parking situation ~ Had to walk several blocks past empty fields that could have been utilized for overflow parking. But the concert itself was very good.

At 75, Paul Simon is one of the best songwriters of his generation and he is still one of the best performers of his generation. He sings and plays like a man half his age. About 2/3 of the way through his show my wife turned me and said that he was easily as good as the Eagles or Fleetwood Mac. She is absolutely right. His band was top notch. His bass player for 30 years, was nothing short of sick. Despite him announcing that one of his guitarists was not there because he was ill, no one would've ever known if he didn't announce it. Our show was delayed by rain for an hour and 15 minutes. It didn't slow him down one bit and he played from 9:15 PM till almost 11:30 PM.

What's above excellent? He and his band met every expectation I had. Fabulous. His 3 encores were exceptional. A true professional. I thank Paul Simon for coming to France. You made my day!!

Paul was everything I could have hoped for. The lawn setup at Ravinia is so strange. You can't even see the show from the lawn. But we stood against the rail and got to see the show.

Played a great mix of old and new. Crowd gave several standing ovations to this musical legend, and he returned his appreciation with 4 encore separate songs.

Wow!!!! A great concert !! Paul is phenomenal talent and outstanding performer- I was so thankful to have the opportunity to see him- this was unforgettable .

I was probably one of the youngest attendees at age 23 and still sang along to more songs than everyone around me. Definitely one of the best concerts of my life - both Paul Simon and Sting were phenomenal performers. I'll never forget this night, ever.
