DAYS OF LOSS is a Melodic Death Metal band, based in Vienna, Austria. The band exists since the late nineties and has released 4 records to date: - Lobotomy (Demo CD) – released 2001 - no label - Sleeping Gods Lie (CD) – released 2004 - no label - Life Is Decay (CD) – released 2010 on Terrasound Records. - Our Frail Existence (CD) – released on February 1st 2014 on Noisehead Records. Band Members: - Ben Pauswek - Vocals - Alex Schmid - Guitars ( ex Mastic Scum) - Denis Dincer - Guitars (also in Dismal Lumentis) - Patrick Fian - Bass (ex Dismal Lumentis, Obsidian Chamber...) - Max Fingernagel - Drums (also in Brewed & Canned) The band has played several concerts in Austria, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland, as Headliner as well as support for bands such as In Flames, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Heaven Shall Burn, Brujeria, etc. and on the main stage at Metal Fest Austria 2010, Kaltenbach Open Air and on the Donauinselfest in Vienna. The album "Life is Decay" was nominated for an "Amadeus Music Award" (Austrian Grammy) in the category Hard & Heavy in 2010. The Award show was held in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna in front of a multi-thousand people audience and was televised on Austrian National Television. Occasionally there is some airplay on the Austrian national radio station FM4 in the Metal Show "House of Pain". During a period of silence, the current album “Our Frail Existence” was recorded, mixed and mastered at the Udio Media Studios in Vienna with producer Norbert Leitner. After the recording sessions the band was upgraded from a 4- to a 5-piece, with frontman Ben concentrating on the vocals. The album “Our Frail Existence” was released in februar 2014 by Noisehead Records. In summer 2015 Ken left the band and was replaced by Denis Dincer who also plays in Dismal Lumentis. In winter 2016 bassplayer Wolf left Days of Loss due to personal reasons and was replaced by Patrick Fian. BIO Deutsch DAYS OF LOSS ist eine Melodic Death Metal Band aus Wien, Österreich. Februar 2014 (Noisehead Records) Band Mitglieder: - Ben Pauswek - Gesang - Alex Schmid - Gitarre (ex Mastic Scum) - Denis Dincer - Gitarre (Dismal Lumentis) - Patrick Fian - (ex Dismal Lumentis, Obsidian Chamber...) - Max Fingernagel - Schlagzeug (Brewed & Canned) Die Band hat unzählige Konzerte in Österreich, Deutschland, Polen, Tschechien und der Schweiz gespielt, sowohl als Headliner als auch als Support für internationale Größen wie In Flames, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Heaven Shall Burn, Brujeria, usw... und ebenfalls viele Festivalbühnen unsicher gemacht, wie die Main Stage am Metal Fest Austria 2010, Kaltenbach Open Air oder auch das Donauinselfest in Wien. Das Album "Life is Decay" wurde 2010 für den "Amadeus Music Award" (Österreichischer Grammy) in der Kategorie Hard & Heavy nominiert. Die Verleihung wurde in der Wiener Stadthalle, vor einem 5.000-köpfigen Publikum durchgeführt und live im Österreichischen Fernsehen übertragen. Gelegentlich hört man Days of Loss auch im Österreichischen Radio, wie z.B. auf dem Radiosender FM4 in der Metal Show "House of Pain". Während einer augenscheinlich ruhigeren Phase wurde das aktuelle Album “Our Frail Existence” komponiert, und wieder von Norbert Leitner in den Udio Media Studios aufgenommen. Nach den Aufnahmen wurde die Band zu einer 5-Mann Band erweitert, Frontmann Ben konzentrierte sich fortan ausschliesslich auf den Gesang. Das aktuelle Album „Our Frail Existence“ wurde im Februar 2014 über Noisehead Records veröffentlicht. Im Sommer 2015 verließ Ken die Band und wurde von Denis Dincer (Dismal Lumentis) ersetzt. Im Winter 2016 verließ Bassist Wolf Days of Loss und wurde von Patrick Fian (vormals Dismal Lumentis, Obsidian Chamber...) ersetzt. Melodic Death Metal from Vienna!
