I fucking love this band. Such great energy. The venue had excellent acoustics and overall sound. I will be seeing MLIW again and I look forward to seeing more shows at Teragram Ballroom.

They went over time and cut some songs, but made room in there set for a Stooges and a Black Flag cover. They also played f*** the sex pistols, so I don't get why'd they also cover old shit.

About Modern Life Is War

Modern Life Is War (from Marshalltown, Iowa) was one of the most popular bands in today's hardcore scene. Alongside bands like American Nightmare they had successfully transcended genre boundaries to be admired and respected by a variety of fans. They were often noted for their passion, energy and impressive live shows.

To date Modern Life Is War have released a self titled 7" EP on Lifeline Records, their 2003 debut album 'My Love, My Way' on Martyr Records, 2005's 'Witness' via Deathwish, and 2007's "Midnight In America" on Equal Vision Records.

On the 19th February 2008, Modern Life Is War announced that they were splitting up. Their final tour occurred from March 29th to April 26th. Their last show ever was April 26th in Marshalltown, Iowa. The band released a statement which said: "There is no disaster or dramatic situation behind the break-up. All past and current members of the band are still good friends and there is no bad blood. We just feel like it's the right time and would rather end things on our own terms than let our band become a ghost of what it was in the beginning or to be ripped apart by outside forces."
