About Goast

Goast was born into the world on March 16th, 1983 as native of the ever so popular Atlanta, Georgia. He was 6 lbs and 9 ounces at birth and was given the name Blair Anthony Bryson by a pair of proud parents. Goast was born during a time when hip hop was still fresh and brand new to the world. Hip Hop did not start to gain any real commercial success until 1988 and 1989. At just the ripe age of 6 years old in late 1989 young Blair began to take notice of this new and fresh sound called RAP! As the years progressed and young Blair got older; he went from listening to greats such as "The Sugar Hill Gang" and Young Mc to the likes of Public Enemy, Ice T, NWA, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, OutKast, Tupac, and last but not least Biggie. During Blair's youth both of his parents worked constantly to provide a decent home and living and kept Blair active in sports to help keep him grounded, teach him discipline and give him a strong work ethic! RAP was a great motivational tool in Blair's preparation for the playing field. Bryson's passion for RAP; which was now growing into the monster that we call HIP-HOP; was so strong that he began free styling and rapping in the locker room for his team mates before practice and games. Unfortunately Blair's athletic career came to an end his freshman year of College at Morehouse University after a failed drug test in which he tested positive for Marijuana. With sports being over and not an option...it was hustle, work, and music for Blair! In 2000 Bryson got an opportunity to move west to tour with his Uncle Coolio and help Coolio work on his 3rd major commercial album release titled "My Soul". The album did not do so well, but Blair was hooked from the tour and studio experience. When he returned to Los Angeles, California he went into the recording studio straight away. After 3 weeks of intense recording...Blair had finished his first demo. He gave his demo to Coolio and his manager at the time, and the two said it was merely just okay. After another year of touring and guest spotting on songs with the likes of yuck mouth, mac-10, E-40,The Goodie Mob, Big Boi from Outkast, and being dubbed Goast Smoke for his constant weed smoking and DOPE rhymes; Goast was ready to prove to the world of music he was ready. Goast went back into the studio in 2004 to record his first commercial album titled "Dirty Emotionz". The album was picked up by an independent label called X-plicit Records at the end of 2004 and was released in march of 2005. The album sold 287,000 copies and with Goast being the label's only selling artist, the label had to shut down during the 3rd single of the album, putting Goast's music on hold yet again. After two more years of Touring and recording with various major artists on mix tapes and different projects, Goast decided to take his music game to the next level. He decided to use his connections to manage and book showsconcerts for himself and other artists as he formed his own music company Goast Entertainment LLC in February of 2007. Today Goast and Goast Entertainment LLC. Manage, Co-Manage, and book showsconcerts for the following artists: Big Boi from Outkast, Bubba Sparxxx, Coolio, David Banner, Naughty By Nature, The Yin Yang Twins, as well as himself (Goast). Goast's current projects for 2013 include new Mix Tape "I AM ME..Da Definition Of B.A.B."& "Shoes For Running World Tour" with Big Boi. Goast also worked on Coolio's 2011 album "From The Bottom 2 Da Top" which he co wrote and co-produced. Coolio had Goast work on his unplugged album as well, which Goast is co-executive producer. The album is titled "Coolio Unplugged". Goast's Album titled "Scitz-O-Franik World" was released in the summer of 2010 during his "Happy Daze" Tour with the Insane Clown Posse. Goast wrote and produced the entire project and was the Executive Producer as well. The album has sold just over 42,000 copies out of the Trunk and another 12,000 sound scanned, putting him at 60,000 units sold independently. At just 30 years old Goast continues to co-manage and handle show and concert bookings for all his artists while continuing to make music and close major deals to further his achievements and success level in Today's music world!
