Waxwyng

Waxwyng is a Progressive Metal band combining instrumental elements of Djent, NWOBH and Thrash with Hybrid Power Metal/Death Metal vocals. Members hail from Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa and Zamboanga City, Philippines. Waxwyng was formed by Edgard Duenas, Will Reyes, Andreas Hernandez and Alex "Wilky" Wilson in 2011, but the current lineup was solidified by the addition of Filipino-American Vocalist Matt Cruz in January of 2011. Since then, Waxwyng has had an extensive gig cycle around Sonoma County's Hard Rock and Metal Circuit and beyond. Venues they have played are Quincy's Pub (Rohnert Park), Aubergine After Dark (Sebstopol), Masonic Center (Sebastopol), Live Musicians Coop Performance Center (Santa Rosa), Los Caballos (Santa Rosa), Chris Club (Vallejo), The Phoenix (Petaluma) and 100,000 Musicians for Change/ Northbay Musicians for Change Music Festival at The Arlene Francis Center (Santa Rosa). They released their first album in February of 2013, "Leap of Faith" and have had their singles played on Brutal Existence Radio (San Francisco Internet Radio Station), KOWS (Occidental Radio Station) and Q-Zenica (Radio Station in Bosnia). Singles are: End of Days, Odyssey, Remove Yourself and Dreams. Waxwyng's members have a diverse array of influences as listed below.
