Gojira

The show itself wasn’t bad. Lorna Shore, Gojira, and Mastodon all put on killer shows. However, there was a girl who was obviously way too intoxicated, starting fights (not trying to mosh, actually fight people) with everyone in the pit near the stage, and the venue kept serving her alcohol, even though she could barely stand. Security did jack shit about it even though multiple people were fed up with her shit. If these bands come to Indiana again, I implore them to pick a better venue.

Awesome Show! Excellent Venue! Lorna Shore Impressed me with their musicianship. The bands accurate Chord and Tempo changes were supported solidly by their diverse vocalist. His ability to growl through multiple tones was innovative, and something I had not heard before. New Jersey Metal was representing last night! Mastodon proved yet again that they are a Dominant Metal Force! They shredded the stage with Powerful Bass Heavy riffs and their enthusiasm was contagious. Many times throughout the set they would give a little extra driving the pit into a frenzy! Gojira was Phenomenal! Razor Sharp from the whole Band. From Vocals to Percussion. They hit Hard and Clean. Gojira is in my opinion, one of the best Metal Bands out there right now. A complete package. They are all superior musicians and I had a great time!!

Absolutely beautiful show. Happy to have gone. Fun experience, glad arena was chosen so pits can have fun. Just wish a better arena was chosen. Seats uncomfortable with barely any standing room, and line planning was weird with entry and merch. Only an hour from doors open to show start with a 20 minute line around the building, not to mention the 10 minute line of cars to get into the parking garage. Of course, that is nearly all on the arena itself. The saddest thing of all was that gojira wasn't the headliner :( BUT as always, show masters. Thank you for gracing upstate once again.

I came all the way from the Caribbean to see Gojira and I was not dissapointed. The sound was clear. You could clearly hear what he was singing. Performance top tier. Not dissapointed at all. Can not wait to see them again. My only dissapointment was with the venue management at Stage AE. 1. The washrooms are not plus sized friendly. Cramped and horribly awkward when attempting to sit on the toilet. 2. They remove all bottle caps so I was unable to rest my drink down when my hands were tired. 3.As a lady we need a few extra products in out bags and fitting all of that into a tiny fanny pack is not possible. I was forced to throw away a lot of personal hygiene items because although my bag was small it was still considered a backpack due to it having two straps rather than one strap. 4. Tailgate people. As usual the beverages are way over priced but that is not unusual. Cheers

Gojira was EXCELLENT! The venue is nice but has a lot of finessing to do. Long lines to get in. 1 single Merch tent was another horrendous line. Spent half our time waiting in lines. Missed 1st 2 bands to get in. Missed first one songs of Gojira waiting for merch line to get to where it was going. Had to return to purchase a missed item, so we missed last half of Mastodon in the line. If there was a fire there, it would be a nightmare with a single known exit. If they tweak entry, merch & Ada seating confusion they'll have a sweet place. Plenty of bar & food areas. No lines. Go figure.

All 3 bands kicked ass. All 3 bands sound amazing live. Was really impressed with Lorna Shore. They are definitely worth getting to the show early. They will not disappoint. And Mastodon's stage show is something to see. Very trippy stuff. And probably one of the best live sounding bands there is. And Gojira what can I say. They are simply amazing. They never disappoint. Go check this tour out and keep on supporting METAL 🤘🤘🤘

Gojira were everything great that is metal!! That was my first experience witnessing the masters & wont be my last!!! The y left me wanting more & if it weren’t for the stupid ass merchandise line being in one place I would’ve seen the whole set. Something needs to be done about getting merchandise in one place at venues

The entire Lineup was amazing. Lorna Shore was on point with their set! Outstanding openers! Mastodon threw an extremely HEAVY setlist for us. Brutal visual show was very captivating as well. GOJIRA made it all worth it. What an extremely tight performance. This was my 2nd time seeing them, and to hear their full sound was truly mesmerizing. They brought a wonderful message and are even more Metal for doing so!

Both of the headliner bands were amazing but seemed like the sound system was a little off. The line for merchandise was extremely slow moving and could have used a 2nd set up. I would have given this 2 stars as it made us miss the first bands whole set. This was very disappointing but had nothing to do with the bands themselves.

Absolutely fuckin brilliant Nothing from the first 2 albums, although considering they haven't been to Belfast in 7 years, it's nice to see all the new stuff. And what a setlist too! Flying whales, art of dying, new found, l'enfant sauvage, and the crowd participation in Stranded and The Chant were unbeatable. Mario was a fucking god, as per usual, and his signs in between songs was iconic. The opening acts were amazing too, especially a big fan of Alien Weaponry's haka before they played.

Gojira were brilliant but the National Stadium was dreadful. The ceiling is so low that the hanging speakers block the fans view from certain parts of the seated area. Where I was, I could not see Mario at all and had to move to vacated seats to the side of the stage. I could then see all the band but the sound was awful so I knew then why those seats had emptied. Gojira 9/10 because they didn’t play Pray. Venue 3/10 as it sucks.

Awesome show. The light & smoke show was incredible. Mario is an absolute beast on the kit. A good mix of old & new songs. The mosh looked sick, but with old man bad back issues I was going nowhere near it...hehehe. I was stoked to finally see them live. I'm not that keen on festivals anymore, so seeing them at this Good Things sideshow was just perfect. Plus, a way longer set! Yewww!

I didn’t expect to see so many people in a warm Sunday in the middle of the warmest summer holiday in Italy. And surprisingly there were a lot of girls and women considering a metal concert. But Gojira are something more, their approach for experimental music and environment issues probably have conquered the audience increasingly. The concert was the last show of the tour as Joe Duplantier - the singer - spoke. The crowd was intense but not enough, in fact Joe and Mario asked ever for more participation, probably because we’re learning now the last album. But we learn and so we sang twice at last Hold On from Fortitude. The last album is in my opinion the best album from Gojira even better than the masterpiece The way of all flash. Many songs were taken from the last album. The only regret was Art of dying that was missed from the tracklist but all album were picked at least for one song. I enjoyed a lot the performances for Hold on, Stranded, Another World, New Found and Amazonia, my favourite song. I expected Flying Whales in the end but it was The fourth song: some people exited the crowd because they expected strong pogo (and so it was), Flying Whales is one of the most famous song. The lights and visual effects were appropriate and well done. The band played very well. The bass player is in my opinion underestimated, he does a great job, the bass complete Gojira sound significately with a low tune which cannot appear immediately but it’s always there where it is to be. Labadie did a great performance also jumping on stage. Andreu played on guitar very well and he probably is the metal axe for the band while Joe Duplantier push the band on the experimental way. This mix is important because is the essence of the innovation and the perk of Gojira: there are a lot of experimental bands and metal bands but Gojira is in a strict circle as few band like Tool. Mario Duplantier was very called, in Italy we remember well greatest drummer and Italian names.

I’ve seen all the best rock, hard rock and metal bands in the world since 1980…. Hundreds of shows… Gojira is easily in my top 10. Their sound was sharp, thick, tight, loud, crisp, heavy and in flawless sync with a light show that was second to none. WOW.. I was blown away. Thank you for melting my face Gojira!!

Gojira is so talented!! Truly amazing show at The Rave, someday hope to meet them. Christians replacement while he is out with new baby (congrats) did a great job and even looks a bit like him. They are just so tight. I had a great time and added another piece of Mario art to my collection. Thank you guys for always giving your all!

Gojira live is what I expected it to be. Loud, punchy, and epic. All the band members were on point minus the one who was out due to having a child recently, but his sub in tour replacement still killed it. All the songs played sounded fantastic and the drumming could be felt in your chest. My only issue was although all the audio was top tier it over took the vocals, so in some instances you barely heard the words. Other then that slight tidbit I am glad I attended and hope they come down again.

Gojira was fantastic, I have looked forward to seeing this band a long time, they are a favorite. But they would've been even better if the "sound person" had (crazy concept here, I know...)actually been competent enough to mix the guitars and bass *through* the sound system and turned them WAY WAY UP the 3/4 of the way through the show so every song didn't need to be identified only by drum beat. Good thing they have a great drummer. Anyhow, this person finally woke up enough to do that finally and the band ended strong and were great.

Deftones were amazing. Chino’s voice in great form. The sound at moda center was HORRIBLE. the openers Vowws were ok but their sound was muddy. I was there to see Gojira as much as Deftones (saw Gojira headline the Roseland a few years back). Gojira’s sound mix was absolutely atrocious. Could hear the drums clear as day but the vocals and guitars were low and muddy and almost inaudible. Really poorly done, sound people. Complete disappointment

This was by far one of the best gigs I have seen in a long while. The fans for gojira were insane and were getting people moving around. Gojira themselves made the occasion that much sweeter with the classic songs played, the visuals, pyrotechnics and the drummer doing a great solo act too. Absolutely killer and loved every second. Want to see them again next time they come to London. A worthy 10 out of 10. 🤘🤘

I would have rated it a full 5 stars but the biggest issues I had: were two factors. 1 GOJIRA was not the headliner, sadly Mastodon was the headliner between them and GOJIRA...GOJIRA is so much better than Mastodon in both execution and musicianship. GOJIRA should have headlined. 2 GOJIRA wasn't even mentioned on the ticket. FOR those two reasons it failed however that is not the band's fault. GOJIRA is top shelf and thusly deserve the better foot of the bill. Mastodon may get to GOJIRA status in say another 12 years.
