Excellent band. They can play anywhere. They had to at this tent. Hopeless sound and light system by Polygon. No treble or balance. Just sounded like like city bankers trying to create a old style disco outside a club.

Tinariwen is the most amazing band I've ever seen. It was my first time seeing Tinariwen live, so that was pretty cool. I got tickets for my birthday because when I found out that Tinariwen was coming to NZ I simply had to go! So thanks to Tinariwen for making my dream come true!

Tinariwen was amazing, however, the venue (UC Theater), was at capacity and without A/C or proper air ventilation it was not a pleasant experience. Someone even fainted. Not to mention that nowhere on my ticket or email did it say they were not going to start playing until 9pm. Everything said 8pm but that was the opening band. I wish there was more transparency, I would have avoided so much nonsense. Not to mention that the majority of the people attending were inconsiderate and pushed people around to try to cram on the floor in front of the stage. I wish that area had more control from security.

Absolutely epic show, the band and the audience were on top form. You could really tell that everyone felt lucky to be there, it was an absolute joy. Thank you to Tinariwen (and their lovey, loyal fans) for a night to remember. 🙏🏻❤️

Of course, the band had a multicultural bonus for their visual appearance as they stood there in their tuareg clothes. Of course no "ordinary" combo would come up with the idea to step on stage outside the carnival season in desert-suited full outfit and probably sweat a good sweat under all that textile. But even if you don't notice that, it remains a first-class band with a wonderful, atmospheric concert.

The concert was exellent! However, the venue was not very good. Most of all they do not seem to have experience in handling large number of crowds. We had to wait in line in the freezing cold for over one hour because of the wardrobe. This is not acceptable!

Tinariwen was amazing as always. The opener was not my cup of tea and the venue was packed. They need a bigger venue next time, clearly they have no issue selling out events!

Set was just too short, wish they had headlined! 🔥🔥🔥

This was an unforgettable musical experience. Unique, hypnotic and intensely joyful. Highly recommended.

Awesome show. The percussion comes alive at the live show and complements the guitars. Always cool to see the guy dancing on stage too!

Tinarawen was awesome. Too bad the sound at Sixth & I Synagogue is so awful!
